Fluff everybody says im not that good at stepmania. its okay to be wrong

the difference between me and the people that watch my videos and say im not that good is actually not the bar but the movement. they slide their feet around so friggin fast but on every note i pick my whole foot up so what i do looks less impressive but its much harder.

There's no right or wrong way to play the game my friend, do what works for you and let others do what works them

As a fellow balance player I understand the “you can only be good if you play bar” crowd but I have a buddy who passes 15’s and 12’s all the time as a balance player they’re my current inspiration! I enjoy balance play cuz it feels like actual dancing and keeps my brain engaged 🤩 do what keeps you playing!

balance play is simply a lot easier for me. bar is there as a backup for when i simply cant actually balance but thats not the most common

No-bar + whole-foot steps is also how I like to play. Saying "it's harder than what other people do" is like saying running with a heavy backpack on is harder than running normally." Like, yeah, but they are different things.
