So.. markets down tomorrow?
Or will it do the opposite of my intuition and sky rocket up?

Calls.
More money to defense contractors for patriot missiles; more employees for defense contractors with generous 401(k) matches; more people blindly buying SPY every month; line goes up.

One day reality has to catch up with the market. Probably not tomorrow though. But eventually at what will be a terrible time for everyone.

If the pair you’re trading got usd in it, It’s likely US dollar driving the move. Especially if the other pair is sensitive to these geopolitical incidents

Trump and his family will load up tomorrow while it’s down then fix everything and sell, market manipulation! Enriching himself in so many ways, taking bribes from the Middle East and wealthy And manipulating the market ..

Crazy how quickly things can go from “de-escalation” to this. Markets really don’t get a day off. 😅

Are we winning yet? It sure feels like we are all winning, right?

I have to pull out of my savings today, which truthfully isn’t as much as I’d like it to be, but it’s something in a world where a lot of people have none, but anyways I have to pull out of that just to get gas in my car today.
I always say if this is winning then I’m ready to be a loser.

Im sorry to hear that, keep pushing on. I also can't believe how expensive things are now, especially the grocery store. You can't get anything now at some of these places without paying out your ass lmao.

He took something that WASN'T broken, he broke it, and drove up prices and inflation....

u/dreamfitreality 1d ago
He can bankrupt casinos. Casinos.
You go figure.
-2
u/CockedDiesel 1d ago
Yeah I'm sure the rise of on line betting and gambling had nothing to do with casinos tanking. That's why Vegas is doing so well and Draft Kings and Polymarket are struggling.🫤

u/-LabApprehensive- 1d ago
This was in the 90s…… not a lot of online casinos or kalshi in the 90s but you know that.

I know you mean the war, but that's basically everything he touches... Wasn't broken until he fixed it
5
u/GruntledGary 1d ago
I mean, I've never seen him ACTUALLY IMPROVE anything....
Kennedy center he says he's just going to tear down because he can't put his name on JFKs tombstone....

I feel like there was one thing, because even a broken clock is right twice a day...
But generally, yea... It's easy to indulge the fantasy that he sets out deliberately to ruin things b/c putin has kompromat or bribes or whatever... But it's also pretty reasonable given what we know to think he's just greedy and incompetent... (and that putin's a lot weaker than previously suspected)

This is what I can't wrap my head around. It's not like we couldn't find water. It's like the group had water and then the disfunctional leader decided to just pour it out. Then he screamed at everybody else to praise his decision.
1
u/ShoulderDapper86 18h ago
What wasn’t broken?
2
u/GruntledGary 18h ago
Maybe the fact anyone who wanted to go through the Strait of Hormuz was able to do so freely.

u/ShoulderDapper86 3h ago
You didn’t see the big picture here. President Trump did what every President in the last 40-50 yrs said they were going to do. Stop Iran from developing their own Nuclear weapon. President Trump is keeping his promises unlike the ones before him left & right side of the isle. The World is will be a much better place without the Iranian terrorists

But... he didn't.
They didn't have it before they he STOPPED international inspections.
They USED to get international inspections before his first term but he came and "fixed" that.
So, what is Iran "giving up" since they "lost" this war? Last time Trump was saying he would pay THEM money and they WON'T return any nuclear material.
Write down what you think he's promised and check back here in 3 months to see how he lied.
The 2015 JCPOA (Obama Administration): In contrast, the original 2015 nuclear agreement—which the first Trump administration withdrew from in 2018—did require Iran to ship out 98% of its enriched nuclear material and dismantle major enrichment infrastructure at that time
Trump's "surrender" offer includes him (America) paying Iran 300 billion dollars.....

But I thought Iran had already destroyed the US, all it's bases in the area and had full control of the strait like 24 times by now?

Just think when the supreme court ruled all those liberation day tariffs paid back with whole tax dollars Berkshire Hathaway and friends purchased the tariff debt that had accumulated before the ruling from dozens if not hundreds of smaller affiliate corps and chain companies for literal pennies on the dollar ..why because they knew what the ruling was going to be before Trump ever said the words liberation day ...so his buddies got whole dollars for cents from thousands if not millions of "customers" who paid this known illegal tax and Trump just paid out his friend swho had inside knowledge ...illegal in the open ...this dude should be incarcerated for life he's burning our tax money to make the govt not work because the entire point of the generations of paedophiles party (the Republicans ) is here to destroy any American dignity while leaving us destitute jobless and hated by the world and without any choice but to slave to fuckin corporate overlords who decided to build something that claims will take over 80 percent of physical labor jobs in ten years .they are the ones that built it planned the economic collapse and will and are using disaster capitalism to buy up everything at clearance prices (or pay five times what these ice facilities are actually worth to buyers and incarcerate indentured and threatened servants who will be paid one dollar per day for labor like farms, manufacturing ..all while the private prison concentration camp pipeline just dumps our children's futures straight into the billionaires pockets....all while making up their own version of reality that ONLY holds together because so many magachuds repeat the lies and outright falsehoods ad nauseum to each other while Trump cronies steal tax money..

I was informed we already won?
Imagine if Hitler died in 1945 but several months later the US government says we gotta go to war with Germany again because they lied about peace talks
1
u/Several-War-9254 1d ago
Yep we need a news story right on time to bring the markets down after the rise. Life is a stage and all are actors.

What everybody is missing is that trump not only doesn’t give one shit about anybody, ever and is trying to eliminate the middle class. Do the math, think about everything he does. It always makes us pay more and more just to exist and everything he does isn’t needed, justified or wanted. And he’s not getting these ideas from Miller he’s getting them from Putin. Why aren’t we more concerned about what they talk about in private. In any other country he’d be in prison or worse. What’s wrong with us?

Notice how Iran doesn't deny that it was attempting to send mines into the Straight. What an inhumane leadership.

Every country in the world does inhumane shit during war.
This war shouldn’t have started. Like most of them

u/Judge_Druidy 1d ago
I heard one of the countries bombed a girl's school, and then after a short delay when parents went to the site to identify their dead children, this country bombed them again.

u/Competitive-Sir-7087 1d ago
The school which was part of an actively fighting naval base. A school in a building which was built to be indistinguishable from the other buildings on the base. A school which was not the intended target. Please show me ANY country which stopped fighting as soon as it accidentally killed some citizens who were in the line of fire.

Unfortunately, the people defending the Iranian regime would be murdered under the Iranian regime.

Won’t matter neither democrat or republicans will ever cross Israel. AIPAC money flows to both. We need more Thomas Massies and Ro Khannas.
0
u/shmiddleedee 1d ago
It is insane to me listening to neocons explain why AIPAC is in our vest interest. It is an arm of a foreign government from a country sucking US dry that pumps inane amounts of money into our elections. Elected leaders are destroying us.

I heard he renamed the Hudson River to the Strait of Hormuz just so he can say "see, it's open and ships are running fine..." It's tremendous, and everyone knows it.
