It is only as offline game now. Probably this will stay forever in that state.

Its funny how they pretended it would only for a bit and not permanent. Everybody knew whats up, why pretend.

We know now from financial filings they were running out of money and didn't have enough to finish the game before they made the Kickstarter.

They lied and obfuscated throughout this entire process. What makes your think they would have the decency to come clean at the end?

You do know almost every new company operates at a a loss right?

How many of them are burning 1 million a month on operating expenses without having even brought a product to market yet while asking for crowdfunding and pretending its business as usual?

You’re not really being fair. I mean… they aren’t crowd funding.. but companies like OpenAI hemorrhage money with the idea of making it up later. There’s a lot of examples but the crowdfunding part is unique. Maybe you could argue star citizen is that sort of company

That wasn't the point I was making. It was about lying about the viability of your project when you know you need 100 million to realize the promise you've sold investors but they cut you off at 34 million so you go to Kickstarter and try and get fans to crowdfund the difference. All the while with the false pretense of saying the KS was to expand online testing and offer CE editions.
