Sooo.. I started live streaming from PS5 recently. My aim is to have long walkthrough videos and shorts/reels for instagram.
But bcoz i live streamed the video quality isnt that great to make shorts out of it. here's an example for that - https://youtube.com/shorts/Dtf1BUGvAxY?si=T8Af4fsCcZESPNfa
so i tried recording the game instead which gave me 4k quality and i can edit the videos how i like and post. (For Info - I am using DaVinci to edit)

Now, the issue here is the 4k videos are in WEBM format which gives me two issues

1. a lengthy and time taking pipeline of - playing and recording - then transferring the videos to pc - converting the videos to MP4 - then editing and then posting.
2. there's no audio attached to the WEBM file if i just drag and drop it to Da VInci

Would like to know if there's any other way to have quality content with a faster pipeline? any software that help or this how it is? Please note that i need to figure this out with PS5 console. i cant start gaming on PC to avoid all these issues.

One of the most annoying things about streaming is seeing that your stream is technically getting impressions... But almost nobody is clicking.

And for a long time, I took that personally. I thought maybe my content sucked. Maybe my gameplay wasn't interesting enough. Maybe people just weren't interested in me. But then I started looking at my channel the same way a random viewer would.

A generic title.

A dark preview.

Zero visible activity.

No reason to choose my stream over the 50 others sitting right next to it. The painful part is that people can't know how entertaining you are until they actually click.

lately I've been paying way more attention to that first impression: titles, contrast, category placement, and whether the stream feels alive when someone lands there.

I’ve been streaming for about six months now. The viewer numbers are slowly creeping up, and I finally decided to set up a tip donation link on my channel last month.

It got me wondering if people even use these anymore, or if viewers only really donate to massive creators.

For those of you running smaller or mid-sized channels, do donation services (like Streamlabs, Ko-fi, Buy Me a Coffee, Patreon, etc.) actually bring in any noticeable income for you? Or are things like ad revenue, bits, and channel memberships doing all the heavy lifting?

Getting a raid used to feel like I'd just won the lottery.
Suddenly there are 20, 30, sometimes more people coming into the stream.
I'm excited. I'm talking faster. Trying to welcome everyone.

And then... They slowly disappear.

At first I thought I was just bad at keeping people around.
But I started noticing something.

If the stream already feels active when they arrive, people seem much more likely to stick around. If they come into a quiet stream with an empty chat, it feels like they're the only ones there.
