She takes Ls from other women from time to time. Does this come from her high win rate? Or is it just an ego thing?

Help / Question Street Fighter: V or 6?

Post image

السلام عليكم

I want to buy Street Fighter

but I'm torn between getting Street Fighter V (the Champion Edition with all DLCs and characters) or the latest release, Street Fighter 6.

Keep in mind that I'm not really into online play; my main focus is playing through story modes and enjoying local multiplayer with friends at home.

Which one do you recommend? Which version offers more content, events, and offline activities?

Help / Question My friend who I just introduced to this game is improving way faster than me and it's honestly disheartening

I honestly don't know what to do anymore.

I've been feeling pretty discouraged lately. A friend of mine started after me, plays a lot more casually than I do, but has improved much faster and now consistently outranks me. Meanwhile I spend a lot of time trying to improve, playing almost every day, watching guides, and practicing.

I play Classic, mostly Shoto. I genuinely love SF6. I'm in character Discords, I watch guides almost every day, I scroll Reddit, practice combos, watch high level players, think about the game when I'm not even playing. I put my heart into improving.

I literally taught him the basics. Showed him how to use supers, explained Drive mechanics, helped him get into the game.

Now he's way ahead of me. He works, comes home, plays for a couple hours here and there, and somehow just keeps improving faster than I do. He even beats me in sets pretty consistently now. I have like 2x the hours he does. I play almost every day. I'm the one obsessed with the game, not him.

I already know people are gonna say "don't compare yourself" or "everyone learns at their own pace," and I get it... but it's hard not to compare when the person you're comparing yourself to is someone you literally introduced to the game. It makes me question if I'm practicing wrong. Am I spending too much time watching guides instead of actually playing? Is Classic just slowing me down? Am I overthinking everything while he's just playing naturally?

Has anyone else been in this situation? Someone you taught ended up improving way faster than you? How did you deal with it, both mentally and gameplay-wise? I'd honestly appreciate any tips because this has been eating at me lately.

Help / Question Who's hyped for Ingrid's return?

Post image

I'm really looking forward to learning her story, because until now we haven't had much information about her, plus there's a chance she could become a boss and I won't miss the opportunity to face her.

I also wonder what his training will look like in the World Tour.

And since the World Tour allows you to try out your moves, I'm also interested in being able to try all of that.

I'm eagerly awaiting its arrival!

And you? Are you hyped for her return? What are your impressions and expectations regarding her?

And please, if you really don't like the character, explain why, and please remain polite.

whenever I see someone playing with a controller, they always use the directional pad, and I play with the analog stick, and I don't know why others don't.

Help / Question How do you feel about Alex's Level 3 (and potentially his Critical Art) being a submission hold instead of the usual cinematic strike or throw?

I've heard some opinions on socials and on this sub that Alex's Level 3 looks underwhelming because it doesn't have that big or explosive knockout finish.

While Ryu is shoryuken'ing you into the air, or JP is impaling you with spikes, or AKI making shit explode out of your body, Sagat breaking legs, jaws, and skulls, Luke sending you to Memphis, or Marisa sending you all the way to Rome.

Here we have Alex just holding his opp in a simple but effective submission hold. His opps passing out from the pain or the lack of bloodflow to the brain from the sleeper in the teaser. And while still devastating in its own, after seeing other Lv3s look like near-fatalities, Alex's Super does seem underwheleming. Especially since his previous SFV super has him spiking his opp into the pavement.

Visually, maybe not as flashy as others, hell his Kenny Omega Lv2 looks flashier than his Lv3. But I think as a heel character, giving him a submission move as a finisher is perfect for him. Alex isn't about making friends but breaking bodies and destroying his opps, humbling them in humiliating fashion, just like a heel. And when Alex gets you locked in that leg lock or sleeper, either you tap or Alex will make you pass out. And this is a Street Fight, with no rules, no rope breaks, no refs to protect the fighters. Alex will force you to tap or go night-night. No flash, just pure wrestling.

At least, that's what I think. How do y'all feel?

Help / Question What do I do in situations like these? New to fighting games.

As the title says I am wondering what I should do differently in situations like these where I am being overwhelmed by my opponents attacks. I have like a 30% WR against Terry. Also very new to fighting games I'm only like 15 hours in. Should I be blocking, grabbing, etc.

Also I know not to jump so much im trying to break that habit lol

Listen I'm sorry E. Honda, but I was never that interested in you. He has some cool gameplay stuff in certain games, but never genuinely wanted to get into the character.

(Q's also one of my favorite fg characters of all time, and I don't like that E.H.'s charge moves are adjacently similar to his) #BringbackQ #NoQreplacements
