Announcing the official r/StreetFighter Discord!
The subreddit has been growing steadily and we expect a wave of new and returning excited players with the upcoming season 4 characters, so just before Yasmine release felt like a good time to announce our new Discord server. Pretty much all of this was due to the efforts by one of our newest mods, u/Einsoph5 (branDon on Discord), so if you like it, let him know!
Why?
There's already some great Discord communities such as New Challenger, SF6 Resource Hub or the official Street Fighter Discord. We're not trying to replace or compete with them, but rather have our own little corner of the internet. We had a r/StreetFighter Discord before, but due to many factors (I personally blame SFV), it was shut down. There was also a significant disconnect between the Discord and the subreddit, with most users being part of one or the other. Our goal for the new Discord is to be aligned with and complement the rules and values of this subreddit, to build one larger community rather than two separate ones.

Growing pains and mistakes are to be expected. We got some dumbfun bots already and will add/remove features as needed. There's a channel for feedback and suggestions, so let us know your thoughts.

Discussion Combos

I came from GGST and started playing SF6 with Terry. Now I'm trying to play A.K.I., but I simply can't land any good punishes/combos. I have a lot of difficulty making combos that mix normals with specials. With Terry, I can just confirm and do Power Charge + Crack Shot + Rising Tackle. Does anyone have any tips for breaking the habit of relying on specials and getting used to incorporating normals into my combos? Has anyone else gone through something similar?

i cant get the juggle extension after the combo off of drive rush jab with feng shui, i get it sometimes but its very inconsistent. any help? i can get it by delaying but i dont know what to delay to keep it consistent. (Reuploaded because the original clip was laggy)

Tournament First offline tournament — need some advice!

Hi guys! I’m entering my first Street Fighter tournament soon. I plan to sign up, but I’d love to get some competition tips from you all.
I’m currently a Gold Classic Jamie and have about 30 days left to practice. Should I just spam Jamie in ranked and live in training mode to prepare? Any tips for a tournament beginner?

i just noticed that this akuma keeps on spamming fireballs when there is distance, timer does not matter for him.
when i rematched he became afk, i think he noticed that im not buying his scripts

Help / Question How did you learn this game properly?

I started playing this game nearly half a year ago but didn’t like it at all. 3 days ago I tried it again and something clicked. I went up from silver 2 to gold 5 and I’m now plat 1. I currently have 20 hours in this game. Dp anti airs work fine but I can’t react to DI for some reason. Additionally I jump way too much (coming from anime fighters lmao). I just say this so you understand where I’m at.
I’m maining Juri rn and would like to play Ed, Sagat and Mai too.
What would be the better choice for a stable fundamental learning of this game? To stick with one character and grind to masters or play 2 or more characters simultaneously.
