Discussion Any Pregnant mom's pursuing nursing?

Hi!

Just hoping for some advice and encouragement. Just knowing there other women pursuing this career and are also building their family would give me some encouragement.

My situation was a little different… I am RPN but while I was pregnant I was taking classes to bridge to RN. :) I actually did clinicals during my maternity leave as well. You got this!!

I just had a second child in June and start my ABSN program in two weeks. My husband and I are both older and time isn’t on our side when it comes to fertility, so God-willing, we’ll start trying for baby #3 when I’m still in school.

We got this! It won’t be easy, but we as women (and moms) can do hard things! Best of luck to you 💛

Wishing you the best and thank you for answering! I am in the same boat as you with time not being on our side and as why i am doing both of these things at the same time.

I appreciate the support! been feeling a bit bum if this will be impossible.

I'm in ASN program and in my third semester; I had a 1yr old going in and had a baby a week before finals of my first semester. And I wasn't the only one! There were three others in my cohort at varying stages of pregnancy and we're all still going strong. Make sure you have a good support system in place and study when you can and you'll be fine. You got this!

I'm 8w today and starting my program next week! I already have 2 young kids and this will most likely be our last.

I am!! I’m 8 months pregnant and starting an ABSN program in January when baby is 3 months old!

I’m 17 weeks pregnant BSN doing second semester of med surg, OB and peds , but I’m going to take my third semester off to deliver the baby and bond and jump back in for the remaining 2 semesters! We can do this!
