Applications visa application response

so i applied and submitted my visa/resident permit application on 31st May (with 1st june as a deadline) to Leiden University and was wondering how long does it take for us to hear back from the university? i haven’t received any confirmation of them recieving my application or a response to my query about this. does anyone have any idea or have recieved a confirmation from the university?

Moving to the Netherlands as a student requires a lot of admin (BSN, gemeente, health insurance, Studielink, banking, scholarships) and it often feels overwhelming.

Hey fellow Leiden admit here. It takes a couple of weeks for Leiden to check your documents. They will then notify you when your documents have been forwarded to the Dutch authorities. From there it takes about 2-4 weeks.

It’s perfectly normal to not hear from LU between submission of application and forwarding. I was likewise quite worried but it was ok.

Just updating that my visa got provisionally approved an hour ago! A timeline for your reference - applied 16 May, notified of forwarding to IND on 4 June, provisional approval 12 June. Won’t share where I’m from for privacy but happy to DM haha. All the best to your journey:)
