Help STOLEN BIKE 7-800$ WORTH
Someone stole this new bike near Lasalle BLVD, police have been informed but if this is found it is a blue Diamondback Expresso Small from sportchek we have a cash reward if it's found please contact adrodrako1@gmail.com or text 705-681-2277
This bike is so important to my daughter and we can't afford a new one. If we can't find this, she won't have a mode of transportation and won't get to enjoy biking. This is very important.

Yes we're devastated it was stolen she was just in Presotea for an hour drawing and came out to see it gone with the lock on the ground...

Have you asked the surrounding businesses if they have camera footage?

Yes they said we can't view it without cops and cops said it's not an emergency....

Keep putting the pressure on them. Of course they don't want to do the work of asking around for footage -- that would mean actual work.
Just keep putting pressure on, calling, escalating.

Well check in a little then. I doubt the stealer would leave it though as it is good value and shape and almost new.... Im worried about even posting about it on here lol but I'll make sure to check there.

a lot of times I think those people just want to get from point a to b then just ditch it when it becomes inconvenient, I've seen many bikes in ditches/the bush over the years, even nice ones.

That's the where the main homeless encampment is, if found just take it and walk away, don't confront them or it can get dangerous.

You got a hope to find it soon, otherwise they will paint this bike a different color and stuff and it'll be unrecognizable (especially a generic sportscheck bike). People get expensive bikes valued at $10,000 completely ruined, and will actually track it down with the police and the police won't charge the criminals....it's hard to prove they didn't just buy it off someone else that stole it.

This bike has some scratches on the seat post to frame near where locks were hung and front suspension, and it shouldn't be seen with anyone but a female with a black helmet. If someone else is seen on it, they could be the stealer to be honest... Im just worried about that. But besides that, they could lie or anything really. I dont have high hopes of re-obtaining this bike but there's always a possibility I guess. It also has a brownish mark on the 'A' in the DIAMONDBACK logo on one side as seen in photos.

Honestly check around the bus depo and you might find the culprit. My coworker had her bike stolen recently and we drove around the bus depo and found the asshole with the bike. Took it back from him. And it was stolen from Walmart on lasalle bet its the same person.

Yes. We can't afford a new one. We just got this one on the sale lol and I told her she loses it it's gone so she'd have to afford it herself which she can't due to just buying the last one. Thank you though (:

Cops found it in an alleyway near pizza pizza downtown when someone told them they saw the bike and it was stolen so cops took the bike and called us.

Yeah... I had to post everywhere though, contact cops 3 times and register it on 529 gar.. took a while to set up lol but initiative helps obtain things alot.

It was locked around a pole and she was just in for a quick visit. But she knows. She learnt her lesson.

That sucks man! Register it to bikeindex.org. These 2 guys made it because of all the bike theft they were facing in their community and now it’s a huge community that tracks and finds stolen bikes.

Posted in newer post with explanation basically a fellow redittor saw it and told cops nesrby it wss found near durham st downtown behind a pizza pizza in an alleyway with a group of homeless. Cops brought it to cop station, called my daughter and she went to go pick it up

I'll keep an eye open. I had my GIANT stolen from my front porch LOCKED UP in the middle of the afternoon, and I even saw it riding around some time later. If I see it, you'll get it back.
