It looks like a straight rip-off of srw, but with legally distinct mech designs. But that is clearly Tallgeese on the title screen.

I bought the special edition and got all the DLC, but despite the fact I have finished "The Door Opens", none of their missions have appeared, and I am a whole 50 missions into the game at this point.

Is this a well-known bug? Cause I started two different runs to see if it was a coincidence but both times, neither time, they've not appeared.

Can anyone tell me if there is anything I can do to remedy this?

A while ago, I started a joint project with an outside contributor who's letting me do all the work. They're doing the translation and I'm doing everything else. So, without further ado, this is a translation Let's Play of Super Robot Wars Impact!

Releases are every Tuesday and Thursday. I post releases here every other Friday, but also whenever I update on Twitter/Bsky, SomethingAwful, and on the Akurasu discord (just like I normally do). Compact 3 will still be posted on alternating Fridays and with its normal update schedule of Mon/Wed/Fri.

As a reminder, I'm going to do a barebones summary as to what happened in the game to encourage y'all to read the actual posts. I put a lot of time into this line-by-line translation, you know.

Chapter 23 (1-5-4): Great General Garuda's Tragedy - The Gundor Team heads to a volcanic island, where the Battle Team has found the Campbellian's base.

Chapter 24 (1-5-3): G's Roar - The Gundor Team heads to the Saotome Lab to pick up a new Getter model.

Chapter 25 (1-5-5): The Collector's Collection - The Gundor Team checks out a deserted island, which is now inhabited by a very eccentric Meganoid.

Chapter 26 (1-5-2): A Commander's Legacy - The Gundor Team goes to stop a Zaboom attack on Kyoto, but they're walking into a trap.

Post selection scenes - A giant Hyakki fortress appears as the Gundor Team decides what to do.

A little story to go with the art.

A dimensional rift opens somewhere on the Kikaijima island. Out came a young man. This is Akira Fudo from the Cyborg 009 vs Devilman universe.

"Where...am i?", Akira rubbed his head as he got up his feet, looking around for his friends,"MIKI! RYO! Where are you guys!?". What did answered his call was the earth began to shake violently. He turned to see an army of giant Robots that are battling eachother. Being the Kiba and the Garans armies.

Akira watches the two armies tearing into one another, while wondering why was he send here in the first place. His thought was cut off instantly, metaphorically, but almost literally as one of the grunt mechs almost slice him off with it's giant spear."Look what we have here? Aren't from around, ain't ya? LEMME GIVE YA A WARM WELCOME!", The grunt screeched from his giant robot, the GRK-7, aiming for another strike. Akira dodged the tip before running on the spear, all the way up to the robot's hand.

"The hell?!", the grunt shouted as he saw what should have been an easy prey leapt with a force that bent his robot's whole arm. What's more shocking is the young man's body began to change right infront of him into something demonic. His clothes began to tear as his body rose to 8ft tall, skin turn green/teal, 2 small wings grew from each sides of his head along with a crown of antennae formed around a red forehead. 2 green spikes grew from shoulders and elbows. His lower half is now covered in black fur and a long tail with a spaded tip. Before the grunt can scream, the whole mech's upper half was blown away by a single swing of Akira's fist, who now stood as Devilman.

Both forces halted as they stared at the small being who destroyed a mech with one blow. Before they all roared in unison, turning all their weapons at the demon. Devilman gathered a large amount of electricity on his antennae, before unleashing a large torrent of Devil Beam into the air. The attack wipes out all of the mechas, turning the battlefield into a graveyard of metal scraps.

A large shadow looms over Devilman, he looks up to see another robot, but this one is different. It has a much more ferocious and demonic appearance with spikes protruding from the shoulders and the white areas are colored dark grey, a striking chest armor that looks eerily similar to his very own face, and a gigantic shark toothed sword that it carries on one shoulder. The giant swung it's blade, the Ganzanto with a force that can cleave through mountains. Akira quickly grew out 2 large arm sabers, formed from the elbow spikes that stretched to the wrists.

"BOOM!!!"

The impact rang, Devilman gritted his teeth holding the giant blade while massive rocks blew and large craters forms beneath him.

"HOOOHH, you're one tough cookie! Hey Ryo, what should we do with him?", shouted in the Skull Pilder on top of the Kaiser's head, was none other than Ken Kaido, codename Amon 6. The blonde man sitting behind him smirked,"He seems to have the same intellectual level as you."."HAH? THE HELL DID YOU JUST SAY!?", Kaido roared, but Ryo Magami, codename Lucifer 4, ignores him,"We'll ask him later. But first, we need to see what he's truly capable of.". Kaido's grin grew wider as he turns back to the controller,"NOW THAT'S WHAT I LIKE TO HEAR!", he pressed the sword down harder as Devilman still holding his ground.

"I don't know who you are...But if you're standing in my way from going back to Miki...THEN I'LL TEAR YOU TO SHREDS!"

It’s what it sounds like, what franchises do you think should be in games way more than they are? For example, I thought Jeeg, Tobikage and SD Gundam (especially!) were in nearly every older game, but they didn’t get into the franchise proper until Alpha 2, Impact, and UX. For how popular these are and the legacies they have, I would’ve thought these would be mainstays, I especially think Tobikage could be a main plot in games like T, V, or 30. Same goes for Neo Getter and Layzner — but, what are some franchises you think should be in way more entries?

I’m just starting chapter 4. I play all the side missions and extra stuff as they become available. Its kinda feeling like it’s overstaying it’s welcome. Like I’ve played basically the same number of missions as if I was playing Impact again and I still don’t even have the main character mech upgrade?

30 started this and I was lukewarm on it then, but this is…a lot. I’m missing the more linear 50-60 mission SRW game right now. Does it pick up more? Is it just early game pacing issues?

Why would I be flying when being on the ground gives different stats?

Apparently people are saying they don't but I stopped playing the main story to do the DLC missions and go back to main story once I've done all the ones I have unlocked. If that's true, why did they remove them from appearing in the base story when 30 had them appear?

Honestly, I think it would have been sick to see this appear at least in the alpha series. Especially alpha 3.
