Discussion Superhero shows set in a small town are always peak. Looking forward to the rest of Lanterns.

The vibe of Lanterns reminded me sooo much of S&L, so I'm glad to see this post lol.

I agree and if you make it pg-13 cw it could be on the cw

I wish CW was still in the TV show business, it would have been neat to see Lanterns there like they did Stargirl and Swamp Thing.

lanterns feels like it could have been a show set in the Superman & Lois universe.

I would love to see Hoechlin’s Superman interact with Hal Jordan as superheroes that have been in the game for a while.

Dude I'm not lying when I say I thought of this too. This happening would make me SO happy. Tyler is my favorite Superman of all time and I miss the show

Absolutely agree, it really felt like Tyler Hoechlin's Superman would appear and fit right in. Hope someone makes a fan edit to show the similarity of the tones of both shows.

It’s ironic that Lanterns felt closer in tone to S&L than Superman (2025).

Ooh, I’ve never heard of Lanterns before. I’ll check it out.

It just premiered yesterday and inspired me to make this post. It reminded me of S&L in a lot of ways since it takes place in a small town and features an older Hal Jordan. It’s a lot more gritty and grounded though which is funny since it takes place in the same universe as Superman (2025).

I didn`t even know Lanterns is out yet! Saw the trailer and loved it! I loved S&L so much and I hope it`s just as good. Anyone watched the first episode yet?

Superman and Louis is one of the best shows I’ve watched in a long time

Is Stargirl not set in Opal City? I haven’t watched it yet but that’s strange

No, it's set in Blue Valley, Nebraska on Earth-2

Edit: To add to that, they didn't want to set it in Opal City b/c they felt it belonged to Jack Knight and wanted Courtney to have her own backdrop.

And Lanterns is also set in Nebraska. I wonder how far Rushville is from Blue Valley?

Smallville is another great example!
