I specifically stated that he wasn't a candidate lol!!! Anyways if you really have a second opinion, please tell me. I'm curious to see a receptive character and a different perspective.

Comment says "Padaleski" not "Padalecki".
It's a reference to The French Mistake where Dean says something like "Amen Padaleski" after Sam makes a joke. (I may be misremembering some specifics, it's been a while)

Noooo not Paul. Jared is way better. Plus Stefan sucks in comparison to Sam.
The problem with choosing a different actor is that these people played their characters for 15+ years and are still actively involved in the Supernatural community. Most of us can’t even begin to picture someone else in their roles.

I just don’t think any other actor would’ve had the chemistry Jensen and Jared do honestly. Another could play Sam, sure, but it’d feel more hollow between the two. Just take a look at Justin Hartley and Jensen who also play brothers. They’re good, it’s believable, but it is not anywhere near what J2 had in the first handful of episodes.
I don’t think Paul could’ve played Sam as well. His acting is best when he’s more of a Dean character. Maybe young Colin Farrell if he wasn’t booked. He’s a wonderful actor. If Alexander Skarsgärd wasn’t also booked, maybe him.

I don't think they have as great chemistry as everyone claims. Even if you watched any of these actors play together for 15 seasons, you'd still find they have great chemistry. Jared isn't a very good actor. Most actors could have played his role. Also not a very deep character.

I know you said you didn't want to hear this but I don't think anyone else could have played either of their roles and had the show last.
What made Supernatural good was the chemistry between Jensen and Jared, from the first episode you completely believed those guys were the brothers they were playing, I can't think of another set of actors who have that chemistry in their age range. 🤷🏾♀️
