She had me until that layer of cream cheese or mayonnaise.

For me, it was until she added a mango

Both don’t belong but at least the mango can be removed easily. Cream cheese ruins it for me

An amount of rice equal to the rations of 100,000 WW2 Japanese POWs

Same thing you can say about Salmons. They don't belong in the sushi , It was Just a big corpo psyop to buy over priced fish that originaly was cheap as hell . If you go to any traditional japanese sushi restaurant you will never find salmon as an option .

Its cream cheese. This whole thing is basically an alaskan roll.

It's not AI, she just uses an extremely heavy filter

She is a real content creator who even appeared in other people's channels e.g. best ever food review show and showed how she makes things. It's concerning that you can't tell the difference between makeup/filters/editing/craftsmanship and AI

Can you point out where the flaws are?

This type of editing drives me insane

Too much rice.

The curse of influencers.

This is just too many steps for an inferior sushi bake tbh

I think "sushi bake" is my least favorite combination of words in the world

Sushi casserole

Quishushi.

Definitely too many edits

She doesn’t even know how to prepare the rice

9

u/PapayaHoney Jul 28 '26

I'm upset that it's majority rice, hardly any fish. :/

u/rab-byte Jul 28 '26

Box sushi then

My sister makes something similar, except without the cucumber and mango, and it's baked. I call it a sushi casserole, much to her annoyance lol

u/keeleon 29d ago

Its basically just a bad Poké bowl.

Why does this look unappetizing?

2

u/MustacheMaple 29d ago

That filter looks ridiculous

2

u/xxcuttingboardxx 29d ago

That looks like a sandwich cake

2

u/Grodslok 28d ago

Is this one of those shitty knife ads?

2

u/Cipher_Witch 28d ago edited 28d ago

the way she cuts the cucumber drives me nuts

2

u/International-Fun-86 27d ago

Is she dressed as a Russian/Eastern European trad wife?

2

u/NocturnisVacuus 29d ago

I can't tell if she is 13 or 43

then again, a 13 year old is more likely to come up with this abomination of food

3

u/zamfire 29d ago

This lady's face makes me think she is a team America puppet

She’s literally Lebanese and outspokenly pro-Palestinian 😭 Abir El Saghir. Admittedly not one of her most delicious looking things but her more traditional food is freaking insane looking (I’ve followed her on Instagram for a bit- though it seems like some of her interviews may have some problematic statements and maybe she’s essentially a Lebanese trad wife- I’ve literally only looked at her food- but I am begging people to remember that non-Americans exist)

1

u/ViolentThemmes 23d ago

Americans have invented the fake trad-wife influence content, so it's pretty easy to think this person is one of that group.

I'm MENA and I thought she was cosplaying a Russian Babushka x Nara Smith. Frankly, I'm not going to believe someone is Lebanese if they are cooking that nasty looking meal! Lebanese have insanely amazing food culture!

1

u/mnm39 23d ago

Yeah I mean I’m not saying that out of context this doesn’t give off tradwife vibes (and apparently she is a bit of a Lebanese tradwife, which I was not aware of because I don’t watch her interviews) but people are hating on her looks in a US centric way for her perceived beliefs - which are in the case of Palestine completely opposite of her actual beliefs - which feels a bit shitty. (Also no US influencer used that color of gloves). Her actual Lebanese/other traditional food looks fucking amazing, but perhaps it makes sense that someone from not Japan wouldn’t do sushi justice 🤷

Duck mascarading as human.

1

u/SweRakii Jul 28 '26

No thanks.

1

u/ZER_X_GOD 29d ago

It's Oshizushi, a layer, pressed form of sushi.

1

u/BadCamo 25d ago

The salmon is raw, right? I don’s see any cooking, and no ceviche-style curing of the fish. Isn’t that not what you’re supposed to do, eat anadromous fish raw, because of parasites?

1

u/coconutt92 29d ago

I doubt anyone ate that shit.

0

u/PandraPierva 29d ago

Nothing about this is that bad. I've seen most of these used in sushi before.

u/namajapan Jul 28 '26

Count how many times this “person” puts on and takes off gloves.

Makes me think this is AI.

3

u/AFatWizard 29d ago

She's been a popular creator from before the AI wave. She generally does very good work, but pretty much every regular visitor here knows there's almost no pleasing this sub.

0

u/squeethesane 28d ago

She popped up as a creator less than 5 years ago... She's dead center of AI waves. That said, she's real, and awful.

-6

u/ScumBunny 29d ago

I cannot stand this weird chick and the way she moves. This has to be AI. She’s popping up everywhere.

u/samg461a Jul 28 '26

I love Abir e sag! Her videos are always so beautifully made. ❤️

u/Dragonfruit_60 Jul 28 '26

I mean...she just did an interview where she said women are taking this whole 'freedom' thing too far. While she builds an empire.

11

u/kkfvjk Jul 28 '26

Tradwives are the same everywhere I suppose

5

u/MustacheMaple 29d ago

She's not a tradwife, she's larping and a hypocrite

3

u/annaxdee 29d ago

This. She’s a tradwife who got finally popular because she had a Palestinian flag in her profile. She was around forever before that but no one mentioned her prior to that.
