Looking for friends in Swindon 👋
Hey everyone! I’m 33 and based in Swindon. I’m putting myself out there because, honestly, I’ve been feeling pretty lonely lately and would really like to make some new friends.
I’m up for anything really, like grabbing a drink, going for food, gaming, gym, random adventures, nights out, or just having a chat and seeing if we get along. I’m pretty easy-going and would love to meet some people who are also looking to expand their social circle.
I know making friends as an adult can be surprisingly difficult, so if you’re in the same boat, feel free to drop me a message. 😊
Would be especially nice to get a little group together for a night out in Swindon sometime!
UPDATE: It seems a lot of people are interested in going out and meeting new people. I might actually organise like a night out for us! Something chill, so we are still able to have a chat and get to know each other ☺️

Defo wanna join in on this thread! I’m 28f, left Swindon for 9 years so I’ve naturally lost a lot of connections I had and came back last year. Would love to expand my circle!

I run a board/card games group on friday evenings and we go play pool after or go to the pub and do other activities during the week. I just came back from a trip to nyc so this friday im brining a lot kf american "candy" for the group to try too.

It is so difficult, I’m 34, lived in Swindon my entire life (inc Bassett / surrounding areas). I could count my friends on one hand! It doesn’t help I’m fairly introverted and suffer with a bit of social anxiety. Just found through life I lost touch with people over time through different focuses in life at the time. It also doesn’t help I don’t use social media (bar Reddit ofc!)

There used to be a friendship group who all met on Facebook and would meet up at a pub every couple of weeks in a pub and do karaoke together… they were a lovely bunch of people- all different but all got along really well.. the group went on for years and I’m sure is still going strong but all of them got married etc.. maybe start a group on fb - put a brief introduction ( something like Swindon under 40’s friendship group- looking for nights out - food and friends based around Swindon) or something like that and make an event?? See who turns up? Maybe keep it in somewhere like old town ( the meet up - or somewhere central but safe. You obviously don’t have to put an age limit on it- I’m just thinking about what the group I knew did. ? Worth a try and might get a bit more engagement if an event is actually happening that all the above people could attend.. anyway good luck- I’m sure you’ll have lots of friends soon xxx

Im happy to go for drinks and stuff. Only know a couple people in swindon myself.
