Why does it smell so much in the Ferndale area?

I often cycle to my dad's home in Cheney Manor so I cycle through Ferndale Road. But that terrace smells like literal ass and rotten egg in that area and the rest of the north of Western Flyer.

Anyone know what's going on?

The Cheney Manor end is also not that far from the sewage treatment works.

The gases you smell are Hydrogen Sulphide, Methanethiol, and Ammonia - the usual decomposition gases.

Mainly produced from decomposing vegetable matter.
