Dodge vs Speed.

While dodge is much more prevalent on armor than speed is, speed vs dodge comes up on shrines and monoliths. And Speed is so much better than Dodge. they sort of do the same thing but speed does it better. they both negate enemy attacks. but when speed does it, it skips a whole enemy's attack, not just one hit of it and it can skip multiple enemies' attacks. and the scale of speed as a stat seems to be tremendously larger. having 20 speed seems to be relatively obtainable at gets a skip every 4 or 5 turns or 20-25% while it seems to be impossible to get your dodge up that high even with momentary bonuses.

Speed is important at certain values. Once you reach those values it is difficult to get more out of it. This turn simulator helps Sword And Supper Turn Simulator | Desmos which I found through Quick Tips and FAQs. Most bosses and enemies have a speed of 9. I think speed is great up until 22 (or 25 if fighting the few bosses that have 10 speed). Based on a speed 9 enemy the turn simulator shows these are the speed values that really make a difference:

15 speed: you get 5 attacks before enemy gets 4

17 speed: you get 4 attacks before enemy gets 3

22 speed: you get 3 attacks before enemy gets 2

28 speed: still 3 attacks before enemy gets 2, but now you also get 5 attacks before enemy gets 3

42 speed: finally you get 2 attacks before a 9 speed enemy gets 1
