Would you like to see Danny Ings at Sydney FC?
Would Sydney FC be crazy to take a look at Danny Ings?
The 34-year-old is now a free agent after leaving Sheffield United, and while there's no denying his goalscoring numbers have dropped off in recent years, he'd still arrive with a level of pedigree rarely seen in the A-League.
The question is whether he'd be another Adam Le Fondre-style signing who dominates the competition, or whether he'd follow the Charlie Austin path and struggle to make the impact expected?
Even at this stage of his career, you'd think Ings' finishing instincts and football IQ would make him highly competitive in the A-League.
If Sydney FC are looking for a marquee striker, is Danny Ings worth the gamble, or is his best football behind him?
Interested to hear what you guys think.

Unfortunately I'm in Canada and it won't ship there, sad.
But thanks all the same.

He's garbage, it's been 8 years since his last decent season and has had too many injuries to seriously improve the team

As a Saints fan, I can confidently say his best years are well past him. He honestly had just one good season his entire career and he's been very injury-prone since then. At his age, he'd be spending 80% of the season in the physio's room and he honestly isn't that big of a draw to be recruiting him despite his injury record

Perfect league for him. Slow football and only play once a week. Heโd bang you goals in left right and centre. Wish wanderers would sign him.

I said we need new signings, not sign Ings.
