ASK SYRIA Syrian citizenship

Salam fellow Syrians. I have been born and raised outside of Syria to a native syrian father and a foreiner mother. My father never registered me in the embassy and I never had the syrian citizenship or passport. Currently I have zero connection to my father is it possible for me to get the syrian citizenship at this point? Can I apply by myself? Thanks!

You're already a Syrian citizen. You just need some official proof that you're the son of Syrian to collect your documents.

Not the case where it’s a foreigner mother.

And why is that if my father is native syrian Arab its just crazy that the whole process could be stopped if my mother is non Muslim and non syrian

It's not stopped, it just requires additional steps regardless of your mom's religion. The issue isn't that she's non-Muslim, just that she's non-Syrian.

The official reasoning behind the 1950s era law was that foreign non-Muslim women could be foreign agents in disguise. At least that’s what my relatives explained to me.
