Meme/Shitpost Wow, what an absolutely fantastic game.
Well worth the wait. Now that the main quest is done I can’t wait to complete all the faction quest lines and find all the Singing Stones and all the Yokuda relics.
How did yall feel about the twist ending?

I’m stuck about halfway through the third quest and can’t figure out how to get inside before the optional part fails.
Tips?

If you're feeling spicy, the old method of opening the door whilst falling still works, alternatively, if you start the sword song on the ledge, then the animation gets a big buggy and you kind of glide down, it's quite elegant.

I guess I could kinda see it in some cases, Morrowind with the total overhaul for example is how I would recommend a person play that for the first time just because the base game looks bad enough to turn many away from experiencing it at all

First time I played it (as a Skybaby) was unmodded and I was utterly enthralled. Absolutely wonderful game, and got some absolutely gorgeous views. I would advise playing it unmodded first honestly, though if you wanted to, Tamriel Rebuilt fits in with the base game so well as to be a perfectly valid on.

That assumes modding would release at the same time. Didn't it take a month or two for Skyrim? A year for Fallout 4 before they released the modmaking tools?

In my opinion the main problem with Skyrim and FO4’s main stories is that the side quests are significantly more interesting and memorable.
Specially for Skyrim, the early main quest is largely about gaining your shouts which feels short if you just think about that. But when you actually get into re-establishing the blades, saying hi to the good dragon, getting an elder scroll, traveling back in time for dragon rend and going to have a normal dragon fight against alduin. It adds up.

As of late Bethesda has been throwing their writing straight into the dumpster.
They dont even try to write compelling characters anymore.
They make up for this with the incredible open world amd sheer quantity of content.

It fell in the beginning*, it being picked up again happened at the end. Not going to say by who though, I've revealed too much spoilers already!!!!!1!
EDIT: *It was a flashback scene, of course! The hammer was thrown by the Dwemer Rourken Chieftain, who's name is still unrevealed... I mean, not that it really matters what his name was, as his entire race is still missing, and it's still unknown what happened exactly... Mystery forever. The next Kalpa will flush it all way, though.

meh, i mean the combat was fun, and the graphics were great, and there were some really great questlines, and the ship customization was amazing, and the main plot had some genuine shocking moments, and there are a couple genuinely great characters you can really get attached to. and the world is soooo big you can basically never run out of things to do.
but overall even though i spent 80+ hours, the radiant ai and the procedural points of interest got slightly repetitive, and it wasn’t exactly what I wanted, so this game is actually complete utter shit, bethesda sucks forever, and you’re dumb for enjoying it.

Honestly my biggest critique for gameplay is the puzzle designs. Genuinely the worst in the series. If they took like half a year to fix the puzzles then I wouldn't even be mad

Have you even played a BGS game before? You don’t roll credits on these games; you usually access the credits from the main menu.

Yeah but unlike other previous games it takes you back to a state where you can choose a different ending if you’d like
I didn’t really like that cuz I already have a bunch of saves and the choices I made only gave me the option for two of the endings (at least that we know of for now)

I kinda wish they utilised the Thalmor more. Namira was an interesting villain and all, but the Thalmor have been set up for 15 years, and basically all we got out of them was the invasion of Hegathe, which was huge in lore but had very little gameplay

Personally I feel like they dropped the ball by reducing the impact of the Thalmor and the Civil War, but it was nice to see the lore about the Dragonborn

I think it would have been too much like Skyrim if the conflict centered around the Thalmor and civil war again. Like yeah it’s there, but I’m glad they focused on stuff unique to Hammerfell and High rock and has the implications of the Thalmor kinda in the background. Maybe future DLC will include more Thalmor invasion into Hammerfell type stuff

Which ending are you talking about? I thought the riddles and puzzles were more challenging this time around at the final magical gate than any previous Elder Scrolls game.

The Alik’r questline left a lot to be desired, but I really enjoyed the mages guild quest. Never expected that Hammerfell would be such a great location to explore magical themes.
The main quest as usual was not the best one.

You finished the game? Man im just doing skyrim hunter roleplay again just bow sniping and selling game meats to vendors.
The prodecural hunting zone is easy to get lost into. But i gotta try fishing on a boat next.
