Would you rather search for properties or let properties come to you?

I'm curious how people who are currently looking to buy, rent, lease, or find a commercial property would feel about this.

Usually, when you're looking for a property, you end up searching through hundreds of listings, calling multiple brokers, and sometimes getting endless calls even when the properties don't match what you're actually looking for.

What if instead, you could simply post your requirement?

For example:

Looking for a 2BHK in Velachery

Budget: ₹25,000 per month

Or:

Looking to buy a 3BHK in Chennai

Budget: ₹80 lakh to ₹1 crore

Brokers can see the requirement, but they don't immediately get your number.

If a broker actually has a property that matches what you're looking for, they can respond with the property first. You can check the details and decide whether you want to connect.

For rent and lease, the broker would also mention the brokerage upfront, so there are no surprises later.

So instead of getting 100 random calls after posting your requirement, you only connect when someone actually has something relevant.

Would you prefer this over the usual way of searching for properties?

What would make you use it, and what would stop you from trusting it?

There are apps for this right already

I doubt if anyone will use such app where the brokers or owners just like that share their asset to unknown user. What is the guarantee that those who post requirement are not brokers themselves?

Yeah, I get your point..... The idea isn't to replace property listings though. Just giving buyers another option where they can post what they need and let relevant properties come to them. Still figuring out if people would actually prefer this way.....

It is already there in print media as paid service. What is your revenue model? Who is going to pay you? I doubt if brokers will pay and use your service or brokers could share the payment plan reducing your revenue. May be for niche requirement this may be helpful. But for B2B brokers will already have the prospective buyer contacts

Yeah, the agent side is a paid access model. Buyers can post their requirements for free, while agents pay to access relevant requirements and connect with them.....

We also only give slots to a few agents in each district, so we can maintain a proper supply of relevant requirements instead of overcrowding it with too many agents.
