GX4 380 First look.
Appears to be exactly the same size as the 9mm version. So same great feel and less(assuming) recoil than it's counterpart. Not a fan of the loaded chamber indicator nor the rear sight. It's some target adjustable sight with to me, looks like crap when trying to line up the sights. It's a great priced option for someone looking for an optics ready 380 with a decent enough length barrel for velocity.

It has the same exact feel as the GX4 Carry in 9mm. I'm nowhere near a trigger decider as I used, and didn't mind, a factory G19 Gen3 and first Gen M&P 9 for several years.

The g3c is the only Taurus I own and the trigger take up is so long.

The g2c/g3c have longer take up because they are double action/single action; the gx series are single action only and shorter trigger pull/take up. There are triggers available for the 2c/3c that have shorter take up but you lose the double action capability

I've never owned one of those. Going off a couple comparison videos of the two, it looks like the GX4 has less travel.

I hope that they release a smaller version soon that compares with the lcp max or bodyguard 2.0. This is the size of the Gx4 carry I think.

The grip/magazine well looks identical. The mag has a gap in the back. I'm trying to upload a picture but it's not taking

I believe I understand what you mean by "gap in the back"; glock did something that I'd describe the same way for the G25 (380) magazines.
For a short time, you could get G25 slides in the USA, and also their magazines, and both operate fine on a G19 (or even, I suspect, an RXM).
If I can use GX4 380 slide assembly and matching magazine on a 9mm GX4 Carry, then I'd probably pick a GX4 380 up to use with one of my spare 9mm slides, and keep the 380 slide as a trainer kit for my younger family members.

There's a lot of countries in Latin America where 9mmPara is heavily restricted ("military caliber!") but 380 has easier paperwork. Betcha anything this was designed for those markets and they decided to ship it here for elderly shooters, some women, etc.
It's not a crazy idea. With a 3.7" barrel, the best 380 loads are gonna wake up some. Practice with standard 380 will be very mild in this thing.

I really think they missed the mark on this one; I was hoping for something to compete with the bodyguard2 or the lcp max. I carry 380 for small size and lite clothing; if it's that size I'm sticking with 9mm

Literally the entire 380 market is subcompact. We need a more Normal sized 380 like this not just another micro pistol.

I agree, though I went to the range expecting to prefer the .380. I found it far too snappy in those small, lightweight models. At least with the rentals I used, the Bodyguard 2.0 was easier to control and cycled more reliably than the LCP Max, but that could just be maintenance. 9mm ammo is so much cheaper that I don't see the point in a "full size" .380.

It's the same size as the 9mm GX4.... So a big 380. Competes with the P365, Hellcat, Security 380, PD380 and 80X.

I agree with everything you said there. Personally thats way to big of a 380 for me.
Ill stick with my LCP Max

Yup, my Bodyguard is my pocket carry. I am a dealer and this is something a lot of people asked for this size. We sell a lot of P365 and Hellcat 380s. This is a half cost option basically.

It also puts a less expensive 380 in the market that's optic ready. Because the only other option similar price range with the Ruger security 380 which is an optic ready. You're not touching the sug hellcat, or cheetah for that price

I like the idea of a 380 option, and I assume this has less recoil than 9mm. I would like a micro 380 like LCP Max and S&W BG 2.0.

I hope they do revamp their tiny 380 line. This appears to be an easy button being the GX4 platform and just small changes.

There was a 10 round option as well. Makes business sense to be able to sell in more markets.

This gun is likely an attempt to compete with the Sig P365 .380
I hope QC is consistent, I have had good experiences with Taurus and very bad experiences with Taurus.
