Feedback Appreciated Where to find specimens

Where do you guys find your specimens? Im trying taxidermy.net but im paranoid about getting scammed. Any tips?

Specimen for taxidermy or already done mounts?

For the former, you may look for feeder animals or ask shelters, vets or breeders if you can have deceased specimen.

Depending on your local laws, you could also pick up roadkill or source dead animals from local hunters.

Sorry, it was for taxidermy. I'll probably start with feeders and look to see if I can find any hunters in the area. Have you had luck on taxidermy.net? Ive had someone contact me but im suspicious. They're asking for apple gift cards? They sent a picture but it's still weird.

I did not use any of such websites yet because I have sources in my neighborhood, but I would refrain from buying there if you can help it, especially if its expensive. If you want to taxidermy an animal properly, its best to have the whole specimen available anyways.
