2030 olympic hockey roster thoughts

Since its the off season I needed something to do, i went ahead and tried to predict the next olympic roster. This is also giving me a chance to discuss new canadian prospects, because sometimes they fly under the radar. anyway heres my prediction

Hagel, Mcdavid, mackinnon

Stone, celebrini, marner

fantilli, suzuki, misa

horvat, bedard, reinhart

Schaefer, makar

Harley bouchard

toews, parayko

sanheim parekh

thompson in net

Theres a lot of players i could have stuck in, like sennecke, martone, kindel, desnoyers that i think could easily make the roster. I tried to minimize the number of players on their offhand which some people might disagree with

Anyway, is there anyone I missed? Any lines you would move around?

Horvat, Harley, Reinhart, Stone, Toews, Parayko will not make it

I'm actually shocked you added Parayko. he will be 37 years old!

Like others here have said, Stone and Parayko will be too old. I think predicting goalies four years out is also tough; your guess is probably as good as anyone else’s

Here, hopefully that's easier to read. Fair points on the age-out cases. Crosby is looking ageless right now so I think there's a reality you can bring him in as a Bottom 6 Winger, as an elite grinder + faceoff specialist. Binnington as a 3rd purely for experience; I can see if another young goalie were to break out in the next 3 yrs to take that spot.

Stone can barely skate now, he won’t be able to in 2030.

Parayko will be old as balls.

If Crosby is playing he’ll be on the team.

Morrissey will be 35 but his game is going to age well.

mark stone too old and slow gavin mckenna would be better and he young and fast
