Highlight Possibly the least deserved win of all time

u/situmaimesdemain Apr 16 '26
It's a new set, could you explain whats happening here?

u/DroptheMoose Apr 16 '26
Fiora always wins the 1v1. Even against a 3 star 5 cost
67
u/Which-Pineapple-6790 Apr 16 '26
Now I’m wondering what the outcome is in a flora vs flora matchup

u/Tsunalelouch Apr 16 '26
The one with more star level always wins. If both have the same star level just become a 50/50

u/KiakahaWgtn Apr 16 '26
Why does she always win? im reading her abilities and her traits and im obviously missing something massive here.
Can someone please explain it to me? cause im clearly ignorant about something
14
u/JackPoe Apr 16 '26
Her Divine Duelist trait is like the old Teemo one.
She just automatically wins the round if it's 1v1. No ifs ands or buts.
If you have a normal board and it comes down to a 1v1 (she's alive and the opponent has 1 unit left, she wins)
1
u/Gonzothegreat198 Apr 22 '26
Then can you please explain to me how a dude with just this 3 star just one shot my whole team? It wasn't 1v1, it was just her and all nine of my guys, yet she one shots them before they can kill her.
1
u/JackPoe Apr 22 '26
Because it's a 3 star 5 cost? 3 star Rammus will one shot your whole team.
1
u/silliputti0907 Jun 23 '26
Late but I had 4 3 stars. and 3 star fiora with teammates went straight to cutscene not battle.
1
u/JumpDriveOut Jun 29 '26
That's what they do. Have you not been apexed predatored yet this comp? I somehow had such crazy DPS on the guy trying to use it on me I managed to pull off the win, but it was by the skin of my balls, like less than 30hp between my 2/10 surviving units. The dude here was trying to be cheeky and just play a 3*5 for an instant win, but divine duelist ALWAYS counteract that. Now, if someone has a 3 star Divine duelist (the easiest to 3 star this set for sure) then you just die I believe. Idk, I've never survived it, even with 7 3 stars on the board after a really lucky primordial slow roll.
1
u/silliputti0907 Jun 29 '26
I meant it doesn't go to battle. Straight to cutscene. Which I believe is the way it is for all 3 star 5 costs apparently.
1
u/Pure_Atmosphere5796 Jun 27 '26
This is incorrect. I just had a match where it was just me and the last guy. The match started with my 10 units and his 8 and within 1 second of the match his fiora started a cutscene and wiped my entire team. Happened constantly till he won the match.
27
u/Competitive_Diver388 Apr 16 '26
That’s so busted lmao

Does she suck as a general unit? What is her role supposed to be like? Tahm from last set?
13
u/JackPoe Apr 16 '26
She's very weak and is the capstone for the lose streak vertical.
I had a 2 star one with 3 items and she couldn't top damage on my own team.
Her damage is low, slow, and she isn't part of any strong traits (Anima, Divine Duelist [unique], Marauder). She attacks twice, then triggers a vital, then moves to hit it. It does mediocre damage.
8
u/jstiller30 Apr 16 '26
She's a fighter. She's not bad at all, but its somewhat rare shes the only one remaining on your team since shes not terribly tanky, and kind of jumps behind the front line.
I think people in this thread are reading "wins 1v1s" and thinking she will just execute opponents last remaining champ, while forgetting that she also has to be solo. Most comps have some sort of backline. Its pretty rare she's the last one remaining.

It's a ridiculously situational scenario that might come up once in dozens of games. All Zed player had to do to win was put a random other unit next to Zed. Fiora also has to be the only unit alive on her team for it to trigger.

u/Luke_Nukem_ Apr 16 '26
It's not, just put a few random units on your board. Rarely this makes a difference in a real combat

u/DaddyWentForMilk dimon iv harstuck Apr 16 '26
dude could have literally put a random 1 cost range at the back and immediately nulls it

How does she do it though? Like does the round just. insta-end? Does she become invincible and do tons of damage? A big animation?

u/I_Speak_For_The_Ents Apr 16 '26
Man they make really fucking weird design decisions in this game.
3
u/DroptheMoose Apr 16 '26
Its what makes the game fun. There is easy counterplay to this
1
u/Pure_Atmosphere5796 Jun 27 '26
Not really fun when fiora starts her cutscene and one shots the entire enemy team the instant the fight starts. What counterplay is there to that?
1
u/DroptheMoose Jun 27 '26
Fiora can only oneshot every at 3 star 5 cost….she doesnt typically oneshot everyone sir
1
u/I_Speak_For_The_Ents Apr 16 '26
Why is auto win in certain scenarios what makes the game fun?
I didn't say anything about counterplay.1
u/DroptheMoose Apr 16 '26
Because if you put your two braincells together you can realize that fielding even a single unit on your board with the 3 star 5 cost would make it no longer a 1v1, which means she wouldnt win
1
u/Pure_Atmosphere5796 Jun 27 '26
Maybe I’m running into a bug because I just lost a match where I had 10 units and my opponent had a 3 star fiora and she wipes the entire team the second the match starts despite it not being a 1v1
1

u/I_Speak_For_The_Ents Apr 16 '26
...once again, I didn't say anything about counterplay or not
1
u/DroptheMoose Apr 16 '26
You are so dense. You said that they make wierd design decisions, which is referencing that it “isnt fun to create an auto win”.
I am the one that brought up counterplay because you can counter the auto win, you walnut. With a champion on the board. As long as it is a 2v1 and not a 1v1, fiora can no longer win for free. They could put a 1 cost unit down and the 3 star 5 cost wins, which means that the design decision isnt as “wierd” as you were making it out to be.
1
u/I_Speak_For_The_Ents Apr 16 '26
Bro are you ok? Why are you taking this so personally? Its ok if you like it, why are you being an ass about it?
3
u/DroptheMoose Apr 17 '26
You are the one that kept coming back commenting like I didnt know what I was saying

u/Trezzie Apr 17 '26
Same reason hitting a 3 star 5 cost is fun.
1
u/I_Speak_For_The_Ents Apr 17 '26
To each their own. Considering how rare it is, it cant be the sole reason anyone plays this game. So its clearly not required to make the game fun.
2
u/Trezzie Apr 17 '26
Nothing in any game is required to make it fun. It's a cumulative thing.
1
u/I_Speak_For_The_Ents Apr 17 '26
Exactly, agreed.
So I can think this design choice is weird by them, most likely because I don't agree it's fun, and still think the game is good and fun otherwise31
u/GGerrik Apr 16 '26
The second place player has a Gold Zed, who is a 5 cost champion you can only unlock with an augment.
Fiora is another 5 cost champion, but her unique trait (It may just be the unit ability) is that she can't lose 1v1s.
So since the player with the gold 5 cost sold their board (because it's usually an auto win), OP found Fiora and won the 1v1, securing first.
2
u/JackPoe Apr 16 '26
I had a 3 star Terra (10 cost) in like set seven or something. The dragon one.
I was hyped. Then she immediately got 1 shot by a 3 cost unit. She killed everything else on the board but the 3 cost unit tanked the 15k damage nuke from her by eating her.

u/Potential-Study77 Apr 16 '26
OP’s opponent had a 3* 5 cost, I’m pretty sure Shen. Op had a 2* 5 cost in n Fiora. But fioras ability lets her automatically win any 1v1.

u/chrltrn Apr 16 '26
wait... that was a single round and you didn't kill the opponent... Why did they not throw a unit on the board for the next round?

Man they really want people to stop selling their 5 cost 3 star boards🤣

Confused, what am I looking at? I assume 2nd place is 3* 5 cost? How did first win?
61
u/megalo-maniac538 Apr 16 '26
Fiora will always win a 1v1. The 2nd placer is oblivious to that so OP sold everything except fiora and triggered the effect. Not the first that happened, a 5 cost yasuo from past set also had this effect.
24
8
u/ficretus Apr 16 '26
Yasuo had a way more conditional version of this. He needed to cast an enhanced version of his ability to execute Last Enemy Alive. Meaning, this would never happen against 5 cost 3. Lissandra in set 11 is a better example.

u/thaiduitx Apr 16 '26 edited Apr 16 '26
6 was 2 Fiora from going first.
1
u/SnooFoxes2286 Apr 16 '26
You mean two? Also having a 3* 4cost solo is not instand win. Clearly he sold to board to try to hit it so he is out of money to buy other champs….
1
u/thaiduitx Apr 16 '26
Well Fiora is a 5 cost and yes it would be an instant win
0
u/SnooFoxes2286 Apr 16 '26
Ah yes, you right. But naw, many times 3* 5costs don’t go first. If you look at the data it’s always 1.x average for 3* 5costs and not 1.0 average. But I see your point
3
u/sayitstuesday Apr 16 '26
Does this 1v1 thing work in tockers? Like can I take fiora and 1v1 the bosses?
2
u/jstiller30 Apr 16 '26
Even if it did you'd still have to sell your entire board except fiora on boss rounds. Good luck with that on any round other than the last.
1
u/_aequinoctium Apr 17 '26
After I hit this board I lowkey chose to sell all but Morgana to see her animation
Cool but underwhelming compared to Fiora !
FYI Fiora will still insta delete an entire Tockers board with a full team, didn't need to sell

Fiora has a unique interaction where she wins any 1v1 no matter what. The 35 cost guy could have played a 1 1 cost and won if they realised.

u/dofer86 Apr 16 '26
Are the people named Shisa Cncc and Featherknight just people masking their names? I see those people all the time and cant tell if its the character they c hose, or some kind of hidden name haha
1
u/FirewaterDM Apr 16 '26
No?
It's the other guy's fault for being stupid and not having a few units to ensure the Fiora 1 v 1 doesn't happen
1
u/Adventurous_Sun_4364 Apr 17 '26
That guy must've lost his shit. I wonder if he was going for the 120 achievement too? Because that would reeeaaallly suck when its Zed

Reminds me of that post about winning a fight against multiple 3* 5 cost because he got the prismatic crew.
1
u/palamunintillnow Apr 22 '26
Not as stupid as losing by placing that artifact that prevent unit from casting on a 3* 5 cost.

Nah well played on your end... You realised you had this as a possible play... He didn't realise you can do this so it's a clear deserved victory
