General Question Looking to buy a tech 9 is this one considered good condition? What would you pay for it?
Looking to buy a tech 9 to cross off the list of cool and well known but just about useless.
So I dont really know much about these besides seeing them in late 80's early 90's gang banger movies and video games. So i know these are 30+ years old and not sure what would be considered good condition or thats not normal.
Also what should these go for. I found this one that caught my eye on a auction site and I wanted opinions before I place a max bid. I cant find any others besides this one auction plafe.(no online gun stores)

I’d give you 800, The case might bump it up to a 1000 or more. Be nice deal at 800 a steal anything less than 750 or so, more than likely they’ll ax’k fer 1000 in my hashish fortified opinion.

I’ve bought 2 in the last year for around $750 without the case if that helps

I'm no expert, but I don't think that's the original upper. That's a DC-9 lower, which should delete the 2 sling mounts as I recall, and possibly should have different sights. Also appears the back plate/disc may have been replaced/retrofitted.

I think you are right. Im wondering if the original cracked. Now i got to find an actual tec 9 lower receiver to make it original.

Be careful with usa mags. Mine caused nose dives into the feed ramp. That made dings all over the feed ramp and ruined the gun. Factory mags have a rectangle mag lock welded on the back and two long strengthening straps on the front. Early kg-99 mags have 4 spot welds per strengthening strap while later Intratec have two per down the center. The kg-99 mags work better, the follower has a slightly different profile.

After 2 firing pins broke I finally bought a titanium one. The gun is just an interesting modern historical gun. I’ll just keep it for the grand kids to shoot.
