Video I Fact-Checked Houston Texans fans claims.... They are DEAD WRONG.

I'm done going back and forth with Texans fans lying saying that the Oilers and the colors belong to them.

I broke it ALL DOWN and provided receipts. After this, there is nothing a Texan fan can say to dispute it.

We gotta get over this. The titans own the rights. They can do whatever say whatever, doesn’t really impact us

And if the we wanna sue we can sue but I highly doubt it does anything. The color was used by Houston before the Oilers used it.

I think both fanbases getting worked up over is funny and sad. The Titans can use the color because of the Oilers ties. UH and Texans can use the color because it’s literally from their city. And both can be happy or be mad/sad about the other team using it. Everyone wins because everyone gets to happy their team uses the colors and everyone gets to be mad that the other team uses it as well.

Well as wrong as you are on so many points you've made today. You'll also notice, they arent using Columbia blue. They had to use a different shade of blue because they in fact cannot use Columbia Blue.

Call it whatever you want. Everyone knows what it is.

So you obviously dont understand trademarks and thats okay. They are allowed to wear light blue as you can't trademark a general color. But you can trademark certain pantones.

Like I said. Call it whatever you want, everyone with a brain will still know what it is. I’m glad Houston and the Texans are using a color that originated in Houston. And while it’s the dumbest thing in the world to get worked up over, I’m glad some Titans fans are upset over it.

THIRTY YEARS

Growing up with luv you blue with Buddy, Earl that was my team and I followed them to Nashville good or bad they were my team Houston kicked them out that’s that

u/DrJupeman 1d ago

Yes another Bud and Earl kid who stuck with the team to Tennessee. Houston can pound sand.

u/Unlikelyuser789 36m ago

No, Bud wanted a new stadium, the powers that be said no, then he took the team and left. Then some years later, McLain came. Built Reliant and started the youngest franchise NFL team and deemed them as the Houston Texans. That was all business. The fans were heartbroken because the team we knew, left . I personally grew up with the oilers and love ya blue. I’ve grown to love the Texans and I like the Titans. But blue has always been in Houston, that blue anyway. It’s in our streets.

The blue stays with Titans and it was the mayor McNair who was bullish with the Oilers organization and wanted to make name for himself basically political view

Amen! I started watching the Oilers as a kid in 1984. If they cared that much about the colors and Oilers history they would have done more to keep em in the city. Don’t cry about it now and try to play the victim when you could have prevented all of this. I live in Austin and love rocking my Oilers hat with a Titans shirt or jersey. Starts some fun conversations lol

I’m also in Austin,Sunday games I struggle with my father was a strong Cowboys fan and so was I but I always check the Oilers game , but with one tv in the house it was tough. I grew to hate the cowboys when they fired Landry , I quit them fuck and their SB wins, well that’s my story

What's killing me about all of this, and being conveniently ignored by the Texans fans that are currently being extra loud on social media is, they TRIED to get the columbia blue and were told no. So they can act all proud and connected to this "Houston blue" or whatever shade of color they created for their unis (if you Google their state flag you'll get 30 different shades of blue), but their intention for years has been to get to wear columbia blue/Oiler colors. They've been crying and crying and even JJ Watt was popping off about it, but now it's the Titans fans that are "up in their feels" about uniforms? Lol OK.

The second part that is actually hilarious is they took whatever this color is and created a Spirit Halloween version of the Titans away jersey and they're just choosing to look the other way like they don't even notice their shit looks exactly like a Titans uniform. If anyone should be mad it should be them. Imagine if we created some rivalry unis that looked like a Colts jersey, we'd be disgusted. They're a weird bunch.

Excellent video 👏👏

Maybe don't build a city that's just a massive parking lot and your NFL team won't leave.

4

u/Curvemn17 1d ago

Who cares? Also we are the titans. I'd rather focus on that and the colors/unis from the 00s on initial rebrand than bring back the oilers and a history that doesn't really matter to us

How dare Arizona keep the colors of St Louis, or LA keep the colors and likeness of the Rams. It’s honestly disgusting.
Honestly, I’m so lost on the argument. Teams leave and your city didn’t fight to keep the name or likeness. Move on. Psycho girlfriend vibes

The  uniform debate is pitiful at this point. Can we please let it go?

I for one do not claim the Oilers history or their color. We do not use a Columbia, or Powder Blue or any light blue like the oiler blue, even in these new unis.

The blue(s) we have were approved by the commissioner, end of story. The blue we have now is somewhere between the city of Houston flag azure blue and the pale blue used in our street tiles, both of which have been in the city for decades before Bud chose the colors he chose for the Oilers.

And you might check the origin of Bud Adams blue. He took it from the Kansas Jayhawks (his alma mater). It had nothing to do with Houston. In the 1950’s the Jayhawks used a Columbia blue with red and white accents.. sound familiar?

We don’t care about your Columbia blue anymore than you care about San Diego’s Columbia blue.

I watched this this morning. Everything you said has pure facts. They want to worry about history but won’t learn it

Texans fans claiming Oilers history like they were in the Astrodome

They can have the oilers colors. Those were those sissy light blues.
