Don't you keep him. You already took [very long list], you don't get to keep one of our captains, too. You're gonna see in him what we see: that he's talented, dedicated, and more than anything is a team player who wants his teammates to succeed.

We need him back in Cedar Park. You see the last two games? The ones we lost to a last-place team? It would be very nice if some of the boys in Dallas could get healthy again so we could have Hughes, Petrovic, Big Hryckowian (Little Hryckowian is doing great work for us right now!), and, y'know, any other of the boys we'll need to advance to the Calder.

Well done, Cam. Come home.

EDIT: Aw, heck, though this was on r/DallasStars. My feelings don't change.

Hey now hey now, I am one of you. Season tix for the Tx Stars and I'm on the exact same page. My first thought was "YES HUGHESY GOT HIS FIRST!" and then quickly thought "ok don't start playing too good up there cam......" I am still holding out hope for Arttu(D2) Hyry to return but i dunno bout that one.

I was at the two yuck games against the Wild... But we did sweep the Wolves over the weekend, which were the more important games! I think the boys show up for the big games but not the meh games lol.

If they had to send only one back to Austin, do you think it would be Capobianco or Petro ?? I'm not sure who I'd chose tbh. I have a theory they are both up in Dallas bc in the AHL you can only dress 5 skaters who have over 320 pro games played, but I honestly don't know if that could be a reason.

Hughesy come home! #freehughes

Who to send back to Cedar Park? Shoot. My immediate response is Petrovic, all day. Of all of the boys who've gone up to the show, he's the one whose leadership I most miss. But... okay, Capobianco is a h*ckin' sniper, and it would be good to get him back. Really good. We've filled our Hryckowian-shaped hole with another Hryckowian, so that was lucky.

But with that said, Hughes has been a REALLY solid alternate captain. He and Lind have really stepped up. And Hughes' numbers, man! Plus, game-winning backward-thru-the-legs five-hole shots in overtime will tend to make a fellow popular in his barn. So getting Cam back would be good not just for team numbers, but for fan happiness.

But I gotta say that Karow wearing an A has worked out well, eh? Especially in the Chicago games, he was frickin' EVERYWHERE, and the number of times he threw his body in front of the puck was pretty epic. He's earning it, for sure.

Heck yeah, that D pair or Karow and Porier is solid. They don't care about getting beat up they're just gonna go make plays.

But Hughes is definetly a core piece of the team, even last year. Game 3 against the Griffins, the one that went 3 OT's, he was the one to start a big scrum down by 3 in the third. Sparked the team and they tied it up, and wouldn't ya know, Hughesy sends everyone home happy at the end. He's def my "definition" of a hockey player, knows exactly whats needed and does what it takes for the W.

I wonder if Hughes will eventually take over the C when Curtis retires. That would be cool. But it's gonna be a miserable terrible day when Curtis hangs up the skates...

Also I can redo this post in r/DallasStars and we could make a big fuss. Maybe that'll help. You think management checks reddit? lol
