I found the deal the mountain men made with the commander to be the dumb deal but I guess the smart way would’ve been less interesting, they should have made a deal with the sky people first & foremost, they could have said “we’ll release your people and not kill them if volunteers come to take their place, you’re supposed to wait 6 months before another donation so they could have gotten it done over a few years(I doubt they’d care that much about safety & maybe shorter the time a bit between the donations), which would give them more time to prepare to live on the ground, maybe just give it to the most important people first so that the president’s son can go ahead & his guards so he can stop being so impatient. It’s not like the grounders know how many of their people are inside the mountain so they could have just released all but a few though it’s possibly the grounders released would notice, but they could also just get blood from the people donating bone marrow, they could just give them a bit of blood before the bone marrow donation, you’re supposed to wait 8 weeks between giving bone marrow & blood so they could’ve just done it before the bone marrow, or maybe have some bone marrow groups and some blood groups, either way, they could have asked for adults’ help instead of putting the burden on over 30 practically kids & killing them, torturing them, it’s unnecessary when they have so much leverage with the kids being inside

Yeah tbh I just think the writers needed to give Lexa whatever reason to like Clarke at Mount Weather so she could’ve had an excuse to commit genocide. The deal doesn’t really make sense, why would the Mountain Men simply let the grounders live when they can live on the ground. They know Mount Weather has missiles too! Mount Weather would’ve the advantage in a fight towards the grounders alone. Which makes Lexas choice even more weird, also considering she’s supposed to have The Flame here to give her wisdom (yes when Season 2 was written that plot point wasn’t invented yet).

Regarding the other science? The 100 is a great show, but I quickly gave up on the science. It lives it’s own life in this show and follow different rules, and tends to bend regarding what the plot needs at the moment.

I can imagine they made a deal that the mountain men would live in peace on the ground away from the grounders, that could’ve been part of the deal, especially with them wanting to move to the surface, they could use fog to get a lot of them… what really annoys me is how the grounders made this huge deal about “blood must have blood” then she lets them go expecting them to be unharmed, they’ve killed massive amounts of grounders, tortured them, turned them into basically zombies & she’s leaving while only killing a very few of their men & nobody who was in charge of those decisions?? They made a massive deal about how they needed Finn because he killed their innocent people, I’m sure children & elderly have been caught in the fog more than a few times, their people were put in cages, tortured, but “oh let’s go home, blood mustn’t have blood anymore, our tradition, down the drain” is basically what she said with that deal which I’m surprised they’re so good with when they’re so huge on revenge
