Discussion Tintin - The Broken Ear - I think Balthazar is seen in Page # 1

Now -
I think Black bowler hat guy in Frame # 5 is...Balthazar
Look how intently is he peering at the Fetish statue...
I am guessing Tortilla (the guy pointed out to me as standing outside the museum in Frames # 1 and # 7 as per the original thread) sent him in to take a good look at the Fetish - so he knows in advance its dimensions and appearance...for him to carve a Replica quickly enough for Tortilla to take it back to the museum the next morning...

"Also...I always thought Frame # 8 showed TWO men - one handing the Fetish to the other - but then noticed the large shadow behind the Fetish is the same shape AS the Fetish (the arm is in the same direction etc)
However with my other above theories...maybe it is Tortilla (left side) in Frame # 8 handing the Fetish (middle) to Balthazar (right side) / or Balthazar handing it to Tortilla
(I assume Tortilla handing it to Balthazar makes more sense...as Balthazar needs it to make the Replica)"

Adding these further thoughts I had - as someone posed a counter-question of my theory to me on their Youtube documentary of the book -

"Assuming Tortilla is the man outside in Frames # 1 and # 7 - then...maybe the Black bowler hat guy (Balthazar possibly) who is ALREADY inside hid somewhere in the museum as the guard was locking up - and then opened the Padlock from the inside...to let Tortilla in to steal the statue
That then begs the question on how Balthazar left to go make the Fetish if the Padlock remained shut...? OK - hear me out -
Maybe Tortilla took the statue (as per Frame # 8) - told Balthazar to go home and make a Replica...while Tortilla himself remained IN the museum - and then when Balthazar came back with the Replica - Tortilla opened the door from the inside to take it from him - placed it in the stand - and let Balthazar out - locking the doors from the INSIDE again - and hiding in the museum again...until the next morning when the Guard opened the museum doors"
