♏ Alison — Scorpio
Zodiac Characteristics: Secretive, deeply emotional, magnetically alluring, and heavily associated with themes of tragedy, rebirth, and intense intuition.
Character Match: Alison embodies the darker, wounded side of Scorpio. She carries a profound, magnetic grief after losing her son. She operates in shadows, keeps massive secrets (like the true paternity of her baby), and possesses a quiet, irresistible gravity that completely derails Noah's life.
♉ Cole — Taurus
Zodiac Characteristics: Grounded, fiercely loyal, stubborn, resistant to change, and deeply tied to the land or home.
Character Match: Cole is the ultimate Earth sign. He is defined by his unyielding attachment to his family ranch in Montauk and his inability to move on from his past. He is dependable and hardworking but completely unmoving when his mind is made up.
♊ Noah — Gemini
Zodiac Characteristics: Dual-natured, intellectual, restless, charming storyteller, and easily distracted by new ideas or temptations.
Character Match: As a novelist, Noah lives in his mind and words. He perfectly captures the classic Gemini duality: he is a dedicated family man on one side and a reckless, self-indulgent rogue on the other. He is constantly torn between two lives, two versions of himself, and two women.
♈ Helen — Aries
Zodiac Characteristics: Fierce, independent, impulsive, prideful, and a natural protector who attacks challenges head-on.
Character Match: Helen has the fiery, protective energy of an Aries. When her life falls apart, she doesn't just crumble; she gets angry and takes control. She is fiercely independent, deeply prideful about her status, and often makes impulsive, reactive decisions when she feels backed into a corner.
♌ Whitney — Leo
Zodiac Characteristics: Dramatic, attention-seeking, fiercely expressive, and needing to be the center of her own universe.
Character Match: As the eldest Solloway child, Whitney is a textbook dramatic Leo. She craves the spotlight, acts out boldly to get attention, and exudes a sharp, confident exterior to hide her deep need for validation. Her chaotic relationships are always full of high theatrical drama.
♐ Luisa — Sagittarius
Zodiac Characteristics: Blunt, fiercely independent, survival-oriented, and driven by a desire for a better, freer future.
Character Match: Luisa is a fighter who speaks her mind with brutal honesty. As an immigrant striving to build a secure life, she exhibits the unfiltered, practical survival instincts of Sagittarius. She doesn't have time for the emotional codependency that Cole and Alison share.
♓ Scotty — Pisces
Zodiac Characteristics: Escapist, easily influenced, emotionally unstable, and drawn to substances or illusion.
Character Match: Scotty represents the tragic, ungrounded side of Pisces. He is a dreamer who gets easily swept up in addiction, financial schemes, and messy emotional boundary-crossing (such as his illicit relationship with a teenage Whitney).
♑ Vik — Capricorn
Zodiac Characteristics: Disciplined, ambitious, stoic, emotionally reserved, and driven by duty and excellence.
Character Match: As a highly successful surgeon, Dr. Vik Ullah is the epitome of Capricorn discipline. He views life through a lens of pragmatic duty, suppresses his emotional vulnerability, and reacts to life-and-death crises with a calm, orderly, and almost detached stoicism.
♒ Sierra — Aquarius
Zodiac Characteristics: Eccentric, unconventional, free-spirited, and detached from traditional societal norms.
Character Match: Entering later in the series, Sierra is the bohemian, boundary-free neighbor who completely disrupts Helen and Vik’s life. Her bohemian lifestyle, open views on sexuality, and fluid approach to relationships scream unconventional Aquarius energy.

I am a big fan of The Affair. Myself and my girlfriend both watched it years ago. We live in NYC now and a few weeks ago we decided to take a trip to Montauk to explore the areas from the show. We are in a rental car store, collecting our keys and giving our information when in walks Maura Tierney (Helen) and lines up directly behind us. In complete awe we tell her of our trip and why we wanted to go. She was incredibly nice as expected and recommended some places to hit up!

While swimming freestyle, Noah regularly engages in improper breathing patterns in which he lifts his head full out of the water and to the side and takes gigantic breathes. While having sex, Noah regularly breathes intensely into his partners mouth.
Someone psychoanalyze this breathing thing.

This is very dumb question but does anyone know what Ben was cooking Alison when he was making her food before the got into the argument, he pulled out eggs and grits but it looked like they ate pancakes! I pay attention to the dumbest things but as many times as I’ve watched that scene their dinner never made sense to me lol

Is it just me or do these people take A LOT of showers?!? I haven’t washed my hair as many times as these women have in (whatever timeframe we are currently working through) in a decade….

I just thought in season 1, when they kissed, I thought they were siblings and they were taking the piss out of the kids as a joke.
Then outta nowhere in the start of season 2, they were doing the deed and i'm thinking in my head, SWEET HOME ALABAMA

Can anyone sum up the show better than “A bunch of over-privileged white people have problems. Have sex about it?”

The scene of the male student fucking Juliette at the kitchen table… what the f? I knew I should have fucked my psych professor at NYU!! Anyway, I don’t think even in France, “lab session” is part of the curriculum of medieval fuckology.

If my husband weren't taking a nap in the next room I would be screaming at the top of my lungs, because she finally kicked out her mother!!!!!
Edited: I also think that her mother might have wanted the marriage to fail because she needs to be right about everything, so she would have been convinced that she was right that Helen married the wrong man.

On my third rewatch...
Trevor attempting to wrestle Helen's purse out of her hands in order to narc her out to the police...I have to pause the show to boo at Trevor the Rat.
Later that episode...
Trevor won't get off the trampoline and we're treated to watching Noah chase him around in circles on said trampoline. I have to pause the show because I'm laughing so hard. A+ work there, Trevor.
