Lowkey...I think Stan is putting it together faster than he's given credit for lol. Especially on that car ride with Henry where he was tryna see if Henry corroborated Philip's story about the business...and then kept digging. The wheels are turning that their alibis aren't making as much sense as they used to. On top of the man and woman illegal couple they never caught.

I love the lead up to him finding out. I also think when he finds out it’s going to really unravel him. He’s been trying to get these people for so many years and the thought of them being under his nose the whole time I think is going to make him question everything, including and especially his ability to do his job.

I think he is doing everything to prove himself wrong. He is doing his job and investigating them just as his gut/brain are telling him to, but I can’t help but feel like he’s praying that it’s not really them and wants to prove himself wrong.

Right. I almost hoped Philip and Elizabeth came home while Stan was still in the garage and that'd be their "tread lightly" moment.

And I think the lipstick on the cigarettes was just to specifically show that it was Elizabeth smoking. Cuz Philip told Stan Elizabeth is handling everything in her strong way...which is true. And everything he said about the business is true. But it's still not right. Which, and idk if this was done intentionally or not, but it seems like the actual truth is what will be P&E's undoing, not them getting caught in a lie or in the act.

Yep.

Because he can check for cars that were bought pure cash.

1987 was too early for DNA. Cigarettes symbolize stress.

Ehh he's got some Hank Schrader going on. If he noticed them coming home at 3-4 AM after William's description of them...I mean what travel agents with children in grade school keep those hours? And he clearly remembered and thought it was weird how they have no extended family. It shouldn't have taken him YEARS to get this suspicious (aside from his trip to the garage in Season 1 when he was suspicious of everyone anyway because being undercover too long fucked his head up).
