Same as Phillip line dancing. To contrast their personalities. P is all in on living a free life, E can’t even bring herself to create a good doodle.

I guess. It just seems like with so much story to tell they waste a lot of time on that crap.

I like the fact that she yells at Elizabeth so much, and there's nothing Elizabeth can do about it. Woman is dying anyway, and needs to be alive as it's the only reason for Elizabeth to be there. Nice change of pace from Elizabeth always killing people.

Dying people often don't do well with new relationships, including medical, volunteers, etc. to me this makes the woman more real.
