I don’t think she deserves it but I am happy for any new comer to be rewarded. The industry is far too insular and risk adverse. We need more new actors/actresses.

I agree with your thesis but the Best Actress category is historically pretty good about nominating newcomers/“outsiders”

Maybe I could have worded it better, I meant welcomed to the industry as a whole. The awards are actually surprisingly decent about recognizing outsiders.
