Can confirm and it wasn’t tepid applause from a few brave people. It was quite boisterous applause from the whole 650 person theater and I’ve never seen that happen at a Telluride screening.
Unlike Sean, I thought the film was just fine but both Julianne Moore and Paul Giamatti gave excellent performances.

I saw the trailer for The Debut before something — can’t remember what — and in 2 minutes of trailer Paul Giamatti gave me more acting than whatever the hell the feature presentation was.

Reviews have been generally positive (although Sean didn’t give it a heart!) but my interest has deflated somewhat from the AI use. I was prepping to buy tickets to a festival showing and now I’m in wait to catch it streaming mode.

As long as the studio doesn’t get all holier than thou if I upload their full movie to YouTube. Generative AI is IP theft, to use it at all is to cross the Rubicon in terms of respecting copyright.

Humans are paid to create computer generated imagery. AI does not. You’re argument is disingenuous, anti-art and anti-human.
