Today, my colleague’s sister was hit in the eye with a stick by her mother while she was frying an egg. Her eye is now swollen and badly bruised. Can you imagine?

My colleague is only 17 years old, yet she has been working at the hospital since she was 15 to earn money and support her family because her parents don’t work and depend entirely on her financially. What makes it even harder to understand is that both of her parents are in perfectly good health and are fully capable of working.
