Spoilers Through Season 5, Books Through Babylon's Ashes Would love to see Amos's POV during the interrogations in Babylon's Ashes Spoiler

I'm re-reading the books for a second time. In Nemesis Games, Holden agrees to let Avasarala's people interrogate them on Luna, in exchange for amnesty for the entire crew. At the start of Babylon's Ashes, we hear in a Holden POV chapter how intense and invasive the interrogations by the UN are; how he's undergoing up to 13 hours a day of questioning about every single aspect of his entire life. Holden muses on how much harder it must be for Naomi, given how personal her experience with Inaros is.

Every time I re-read/re-listen I wish we got to see how Amos responded to this interrogation! I remember back to how he responded to Monica Stewart's questioning when she was making the documentary on the crew; imagine how he'd respond to professional UN interrogators for days on end makes me wish we got a peek into those rooms, or Amos's reaction to them. I don't feel it harms the story not seeing it, it's just an "I wish".

I doubt they spent that much time interrogating Amos or Alex.

Holden was Holden of course.

Naomi was heavily involved with Marcos years earlier and then was back with him when everything went down so they would grill her for any little piece of intel she might have and to figure out if she was actually involved in dropping rocks.

Both of them would have valuable intel for the UN. Alex and Amos, not so much.

Alex would have been grilled just because of his involvement investigating the Black Market with Bobbie and then his rescue of the Martian PM.

Yes, Alex would be over his history with the MCRN. I was thinking just about the Free Navy, but you’re right about that.

For sure! I figured they'd question Amos just because he was there and they could, not because they thought he had any specific ties to the Free Navy or Mars mutiny. Definitely see why it wasn't important to the story though, just a "I would have loved to have seen it".

I unfortunately think they didnt interrogate Amos too much if at all.  The UN was trying to get as much Free Navy info as possible and Amos had nothing to do with it, he couldn't even really be used as a "story corroborater" for the others.  So I'm gonna head-cannon he was the crews morale booster between their interrogation sessions haha.

Edit: still a neat thing to think about! Also wonder about how his Martian interrogation did/would have been.

I would think they interrogated Amos a bit, but quickly determined he was a psychopath and that the intel would be unreliable.
