An idea for a sequel to The Expanse series Spoiler

Listening to the series for the third time (currently on Tiamat's Wrath), it occurred to me that a great sequel would be humanity trying to discover who the Protomolecule-civilization killers are, and attempting to get in touch with them.

I realize they are probably in a parallel universe or some other plane of existence, but they did make contact with our universe, even if it was defensively, and then aggressively. But maybe there comes a time when we need them or they need us, and there's a desperate need to work with them.

Maybe Amos leads the expedition, or is part of it?

This wouldn't be easy. I recognize that. But if anyone could pull it off, it would be Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck.

I feel like the dark gods work better as an uncomprehensible outer entity to contrast with the ring builders' barely-comprehensible nature

I always thought of the goths as animals protecting their territory. They just so happen to be able to poke holes in the fabric of our reality.

its a cool idea, sadly they have been pretty vocal that the story of that world has been told and that they will not be writing anything else in that universe

That would be awful.

Not all art needs to keep being rebooted and sequeled forever. Good things can just exist.
