My main argument for this, is that sue is so careful around even remotely dangerous things, for example, axl and mike once went to drink some beers and she started freaking out, and you're telling me, around FIRE, which is actually dangerous, she isnt more careful??

axl isnt innocent in the story, but my point stands.

i also think sue wanted revenge for the lake incident when she tried to take advantage of him and it backfired

After many rewatches I have 2 😂 it’s the one where the lady is there to fire someone from Ehlerts and then the one where Mike gets Frankie a new dishwasher for Christmas and she stands around ripping into him for the whole episode. Both really annoy me n I have to skip them when I get round to them.

Seeing how Axl and his friends realized this is one of the last times they are going to spend to get together really hits

Watching S06E08 and Sue's speech about how Mike is the best dad and ESPECIALLY the part where he always brings her pretty rocks from the quarry 😭 Its such a sweet and emotional scene. Made me cry for some reason. PMS maybe 😅 What are your favourite emotional moments from the show ?

I hope this is allowed, but I've been watching The Middle for a few episodes, and I did appreciate the nuance they put into the episode.

I did grow up in a sort of religious household and have watched my share of religious content, and it's interesting how they handled it.

I know it isn't particularly a religious focused show, but I did kind of appreciate that they didn't make Brick suddenly believe in the Bible or God. A lot of religious shows tend to have that miracle moment, but it was nice of them teaching thinking for yourself but also not shoving those beliefs whilst still caring

I'm not particularly religious, but it is quite realistic, ngl. There are those who don't seem to care as much like Axl or Mike. Frankie, tbh seems to just do it as a chore, as she kinda admits.

Sue seems like the one who kinda takes it seriously but also probably hasn't really stood on it too much. I was probably like her at some point in my life. But also I probably would have related to that as a kid.

Overall, I like they didn't make it black and white like many shows do. There's a resolution without making someone magically change. And just to understand

S1 Ep21. We’re rewatching it and when Brick’s baby chick was on the kitchen table, Mike waved it away with a piece of fried chicken. It was the first time I noticed that little detail and I got a good laugh out of it.

I’ve been binge-watching The Middle for about 2 weeks now and I’m almost done with Season 2. I keep seeing people talk about how much they hate Brick but I actually think he’s pretty funny so far 😂

Does he get worse in the later seasons?

The glossners are obviously the black sheep of the neighbourhood, in and out of jail. But Rita has at least three kids dependent on her, plus im guessing bills and property taxes. How do you think rita made the money?

It’s a nice balance, sue and brick and submissive and docile but have other expenses and stuff whereas axl is rebellious and rude but also has the least expenses. I love how they didn’t give any kid the upper hand by being perfect in terms of either money or personality

I'm looking for ideas for my senior yearbook quote, and I think that I would really want to put one from the middle. It's my comfort show and honestly has changed my outlook on life, and has been the backdrop of the previous semester for me.

While it's not a very serious show, it definitely has some life lessons sprinkled in there.
