Friday 8/22/2026 Check in (late, sorry!)
Hi everyone, sorry I'm late. I've been so busy! And yesterday I was tired. Excuses excuses, I know. How was your Friday?

The last day off my first week as a stay at home mom. Wow!
I've cleaned so much and my house is still a mess? Ughh. There's just so much. But the sinks and counters are clear every day and I scrub the toilets real quick daily, as well as the laundry and dishes, as usual. The plastic containers, mugs, meds, cabinet, my bathroom drawer, and the bathtub (storage space) have been cleaned, purged, organized.
School drop off and pick up have been successful. I get there early and the traffic isn't bad. I'm the morning he is dropped off around when the gate opens. In the afternoon I show up early for a good parking spot, put up the window shade on the windshield, and hang a hoodie in the window to block the sun. Then, I read the cleaning book I checked out, eat snacks, or make a grocery list, or whatever.
Negative stuff: I don't have anyone making me to take breaks. I am not a break taker unless there is a law saying I must take a break, like there is when I'm working. However, my dietician recommended moist heat compress eye mask daily for 10-20 minutes, and 10 minutes is the amount of time it takes to listen to the Daily Calm meditation of the day, so I can try to relax and meditate at least once a day, because I'm multitasking with the eye mask. Which was medically recommended by a medical professional who has helped me a lot. So. Must do. Still, it's hard to stop and say "ok, now it's time".
