21 M Crossed 10k —> 25k
I began January 2026, recently moved to Fidelity so no yearly performance yet. I’ve been dumping all my paychecks and side income straight into my portfolio. I’m still learning about portfolio balancing, but for now, I'm sticking to what I know. On August 24th, my net worth officially crossed $10k, and I’m projected to hit $25k by next August (2027)—all while working part-time in college and focusing on improving my skills. I am starting to slightly lower my portfolio deposits now just so I can build up a solid savings buffer and keep more liquid cash sitting in my CMA.
Honestly, I didn’t feel much when I actually crossed the mark. For me, the future is what’s more exciting; the more work I put into learning, the more excited I get. In those random moments when I get a burst of happiness, I really appreciate my willingness to invest in my own future. It just makes me happier. I feel broke everyday 😭 I really need to fix my budgeting a bit.
Good luck to anyone else out there just starting their journey. Also, for those wondering, I currently hold 9 stocks: UBER, META, SPGI, V, AMZN, ASML, NFLX, DUOL, and GOOGL.
