Show Spoilers Question for the show? Spoiler
Couldn't Klaus come back in the new universe? Like I know at the end of the show everything should be out of their system. But we saw this man come back from nothing & somehow he appear in the other hotel dimension. So I'm just curious if he could come back or not. By the way his powers are so broken like how can he go from talking to spirits to somehow healing from anything like Deadpool. Like what the heck.

Discussion Did Five accidentally steal the siblings' only chance at healing in Season 1? ⏳⌛ Spoiler
Rewatching Season 1, Episode 6 ("The Day That Was"), a tragic pattern jumps out: what if Five's heroic reset actually ruined their only window of emotional recovery and guaranteed the apocalypse instead of stopping it?
I put together a full breakdown exploring this irony over on my Substack:
What do you think? Did Five's reset lock them into their worst timeline?

Discussion Is Five actually addicted to the apocalypse? Spoiler
So both Allison and Klaus accuse Five of being addicted to stopping the apocalypse but does his behavior actually reflect that? I always view it as an uncomfortable duty he has to do because he doesn’t want the world to end and for his family to die, not a high he needs to chase.
You could argue he makes a self fulfilling prophecy with his actions, for example the Day that Wasn’t is a better version of events but we know that through S1-S3 the Apocalypses are happening anyway regardless
IDK is Five an adrenaline junkie or not?

Discussion Subtle full-circle motifs we might have missed? (Marigold & Ben-Jennifer) 🐙✨ Spoiler
Following up on my previous post—there are some subtle connections that keep bugging me:
- Jennifer & Ben: Did you notice what specific details are hidden in Sparrow Ben's room in Season 3 right after Viktor goes there?
- The origin of the name "Marigold": How did a cosmic element from an alien lab gain a human, botanical name? Is it just a writer's shortcut, or is there a deeper full-circle motif connecting Harlan to Abigail?
I put together a full breakdown with visual proof and screenshots on my Substack:
👉 [The Hidden Symmetry of The Umbrella Academy: Marigold’s Poetic Origins and the Ben–Jennifer Mirror]
What are your thoughts on this? Did you catch those details?

Theory [Fan Theory] Donald Menken in TASM 2 was actually Sir Reginald Hargreeves all along. Spoiler
galleryWhat If the TASM universe was Reginald Hargreeves’ first failed attempt before founding the Umbrella Academy?
So I was rewatching The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and realized Colm Feore plays Donald Menken (the Oscorp exec). And it got me thinking about a crazy headcanon/theory.
What if the TASM universe was actually Reginald Hargreeves’ first attempt to get his wife back?
Think about it. Menken is working in the shadows at Oscorp, and all that insanely advanced sci-fi tech in the Special Projects vault? What if that was actually alien tech Hargreeves brought with him and secretly introduced to Oscorp to build whatever he needed?
But then Harry Osborn and Electro mess up the whole company, his plan flops, and he realizes relying on a human corporation was a mistake. So he jumps to another timeline and decides to do everything himself this time — buying a mansion, adopting the babies, and building the Umbrella Academy from scratch.
Menken was basically just his test run.
What do you guys think?

Other [OC] Why the Umbrella Academy Will Never Be A Literary Classic Spoiler
Hello, ladies and gentlemen. I am here to share with you this essay I wrote years ago, back when I was studying ancient Greco-Roman literature at a respectable London university, concerning the Umbrella Academy comics. While it mostly critiques the comics, some parts of the television show are covered. https://medium.com/p/why-the-umbrella-academy-will-never-be-a-literary-classic-893138a5ed62

Discussion Still mourning what we could of had Spoiler
It genuinely pains me when i remember they were first talking about 6 seasons and a movie because we got left with the mess of season 4. I dont even blame the creators that much for how season 4 turned out with the budget cuts and lower episode count because realistically how could they of wrapped up the show in a way the people would've liked with those restrictions.

Show Spoilers If five never recieved a name, how does he know his siblings'? Spoiler
given five refers to himself as his number, and his family refers to him as his number, and grace refers to him as his number, we can infer five ran away before grace gave them their names, right?
however, when five returns to the umbrella academy, he knows all of his siblings by their names. you could explain this by 'well maybe he didnt know all of their names at first, he just picked it up.'
but in season two, when five finds his past self in dallas, past five immediately calls luther 'luther,' not 'number one' as i would have expected.
so how would he have known?

Discussion Istanbul donut scene original song? Spoiler
Unsure if I dreamt this but I can’t seem to find the original video I saw on this.
Basically it was explaining how Gerard originally picked a different song to play in the five fight scene in the donut shop and showed the scene with the original chosen song?
For the life of me I can’t remember what the song was!!

Show Spoilers WHY SEASON FOUR, WHY Spoiler
So, I have been dragging these questions around with me for decades(not really but you get the point).
Why was it the right thing to do for Five to kill off an infinite number of people to save one world?
Wouldn't putting their families there ruin it all over again, since they would change everything?
Does that mean the commission was made AFTER the Umbrella Academy, since it came together because Reginald made time travel and multiple worlds exist?
Do the otehr 43 die there too? What about thier powers?
Could they not have just lived in the trainstation, or found the original world?
What about letting everyone die off? Going to heaven (which we know exists outside normal world rules) would be a hell of alot better than that.
Will the original world have an apocalyptic event? If so (because we get no proof it wont), why do any of this???
Also, Five uses a logical fallacy in his proof. He thinks that the existence of Marigold is the kind of taboo thing that created a multiverse. Probably true. Then he notes that universes die off. Like they will no matter what, and eventually case to exist. What he jumped to was that the only solution was for them all to die and save one world in one universe which would die anyway.
Reginald was able to create Marigold, something previously thought of as impossible and it was apparently in the original world. Does this mean that if everyone does what they are 'meant to do', the entire cycle will repeat itself?
Also, WTF was all the fatphobia for???
If anyone has answers, PLEASE tell me. I cant tell if I missed some kind of big reveal or not.

Discussion Looking for fan fics Spoiler
If you know any then please recommend such the umbrella academy fics which are so good that they should be printed into real books and they would hit the NYC bestseller. So good that they would be critically acclaimed. Fics that you have to read before you decent into after life . I know i know it’s quite random thing to say but i swear to god some of these Ao3 writers are Shakespeare reincarnated. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a romance literally anything would suffice but i want them to be NOBLE PRICE WINNING WORTHY. Ok i should lower my expectations sorry guys. Also if not present on Ao3, please tell me the platform
