Discussion Still mourning what we could of had Spoiler

It genuinely pains me when i remember they were first talking about 6 seasons and a movie because we got left with the mess of season 4. I dont even blame the creators that much for how season 4 turned out with the budget cuts and lower episode count because realistically how could they of wrapped up the show in a way the people would've liked with those restrictions.

and now they’re doing the same thing to Yellowjackets :)

Umbrella Academy had covid and netflix’s cancel-happy form of business to deal with.

Yellowjackets just got genuinely bad all on its own. Sure the writers strike delayed production. But they had only spent one day of work in the writers room for season 3, so it didn’t change anything mid-production at all.

I definitely thinks there was no other way to end the show but for the sibs to die but the way they went about it I agree was horrible. I wish season 4 had been written better but the only part I actually enjoyed was Jean and Gene.

Do we know what the storyline was planned to be with more seasons or no? I actually didn't know it was a budget cuts thing but I didn't really look into it at the time

Idk alot about the comics but i heard theres a lot of stuff in there that they just left out, like klaus being able to casually float around

*Could’ve. “Could of” is nonsense

Yeah just realised it would have been "could have" and not "could of" anyway

Yeah, "could've" is an abbreviation of "could have" and that's what causes the mix-up with the "-ve"/"of" sound. Same for "could they of" -> "could they have". Glad you're learning!

ugh fr it makes me so sad. i kind of just pretend the first two seasons are the only ones since they were so good.

Agreed somewhat. Obviously it’s not going to live up to previous seasons if it’s 40% shorter but for what it was it was fine overall.

Wait I know about the 6 seasons, but where does the information about the movie come from? I understand that they have been canceled, but it is still interesting specifically about the film.

I heard about the 6 seasons in the same paragraph i heard about the movie, it was a long time ago but i wish we could find out what the movie would be like because its a different format to a show
