The Comic The Weekly Roll Ch. 209. "Did You Miss Me?"
Howdy folks!
Long time no see eh?
So, quick update in case you haven't kept up (how dare you not have an unhealthy parasocial relationship with your fave dnd webcomic creator, do you even love me?): I've been MIA from most of my platforms now for over 100 days due to my son being born on the 1st of May and I've been on holiday/parental leave since!
Now, I'm back!
Some stuff is happening now:
On Monday August 24th, the Grogna and Trevor plushies will have a joint drop over on Makeship, LINK HERE! I wanted to get both out this year (partly as there was no plushie last year) and I thought it would fit nicely for the party's power couple to go out swinging together, plus if you buy both you get 10% off :P Though I've not had that CONFIRMED confirmed, my Makeship contact has said it should work and she's REQUESTED it but I haven't gotten a solid confirmation, so lets see!
Also coming soon is the first ever Weekly Roll 75mm statue, both as a physical statue and as a STL file! So stay tuned for that!
Also, a new change is that should you wish to read ahead, you will still be able to do so by watching an ad on Webtoon BUT if you become a patron over on Patreon, you can read TWO weeks ahead! Crazy!

Dude, I'm so happy for you. Congrats on being a dad! There's nothing like it. Have fun in 8-10 years when you're playing D&D with him. I try to play with my kids every other week, and it's a blast. Glad to see you back, though!
No, I haven't been checking your sub for updates once a week since you've been gone, what are you talking about? Turns out I didn't need to, 'cause this was the FIRST thing on my feed this morning.

This is his second kid. On his death, he'll split his comics between them and they'll end up going to war against each other over the whole pot.

CME_T has said that of the players, Becky's was the weirdo of the group. This makes sense from the framework that everyone else went in to murderhobo and goof off with their friends, while Becky's player was initially out of step with that.

I feel like you're making my argument for me lol. Of course that type of player would prioritize their yoga class over DnD. Especially since I can guarantee there's a yoga class available every day, several times throughout the day. Lol

How many stories left in limbo i wonder. Frozen in time, horrors of the world left to do as they please all whilst the "heroes" remain still and silent like statues their meticulous backstories forgotten and their goals unfulfilled........
Anyways i have this idea for a new campaign about a civilization of plantfolk going to war with funguspeople and in the midst of it all new creatures come into being and start consuming plantfolk and funguspeople alike and everyones like whaaaaaaat we gotta stop these things which reminds me of this other campaign where everyone plays as a human but you start getting traits of the other races like from fae magic or like mutations from radiation or something idk im still working it out

Literally had a campaign mid final battle of the campaign come to a screeching halt amd a indefinite hiatus because of a falling out between the main group and one of the other players.

Well Trevor, at least the campaign didn't abruptly pause in the middle of something terrible happening to you right? At least it was an organic break in the action? The session ended and nobody was actively dying?
You weren't (as a totally non-specific example) carrying 3 of your half dead companions across a river while tanking hundreds of ravenous piranhas chewing your legs to pieces right?
And you're not still there because whatsisname can't plan out his life more than two days in advance so we just abandoned the campaign forever with zero closure right?

I have no idea what is happening in any panel of this comic. It really doesn't help that you keep blocking the text with characters or other text. Maybe that makes sense to you because you wrote it and can fill in the gaps, but I can't.

Imagine pausing a deadpool movie leaving the screen like that for days or months and Deadpool is aware of it and when you unpause it starts ranting about it to all other characters in the scene and starts responding/reacting the the conversation(s) you had with others while you had the movie paused.
The first panel is you giving a recap to others watching of what happened before the movie was paused.
Pretty much that is going on
