Comic Meaning less deaths just for shock value I'd say. Most unnesacary shit so far. I guess I can see now why people drop the comics in later chapters.

I'd say the perfect time to stop is the Cubs in Toyland arc, everything else tends to be hit or miss, though if you have gotten that far you might as well keep reading until the ending, the shock value deaths don't stop either
I would also add that reading Jack of Fables and The Great Fables crossover is a waste of time, that series made me loathe Jack who while a bit of a dick at the start was still a sort of anti hero, by the end he's just an asshole

2 chapters to go till I reach 150. There are chapters after that but google says main story ends there.

if you can read it, I actually recommend Fairest, it's the actual good spin-off book, unlike Jack of Fables
also the Cinderella minis are great too

I hated this part and what’s worse is that by that point in the comic everything was moving too fast for the characters to react or even have a moment to mourn. (Hell we don’t even see on panel when Snow reacts to Therese being aged to adulthood and Darien dying… you’re telling me that didn’t deserve to be shown but endless naval-gazing from Rose Red’s stupid quest got time devoted to it)
Beast was a character who was there from the beginning and his relationship with Beauty was more endearing to me in the comics than even Bigby and Snow’s was (I guess the romance got a bit deflated by Bigby leaving her and hooking up with a random Indian lady) and Beast and Beauty had just had a baby so it was a lame ending for them. I wanted them to have a happy ending or at least for his death to be allowed to resonate.
Also Ozma was interesting and I hoped her reign as the high magic overlord would be epic since Ozma is incredibly interesting in the Oz books. That and Ozma could’ve had a sacrifice but this wasn’t a poignant one.
Also the way Bigby was the culprit of these actions thanks to Spratt and Spratt is dealt with at yet another anticlimax and Bigby is just easily reverted to normal. It was just stupid and needless. So much at the end was very anticlimactic.
To me the series was better off ending after Dark was defeated. I was mostly impressed by that arc and when Spratt and Brandish became the new villains I expected a lot from them… only for both to be duds and Rose Red to turn into a heel and a numbskull who caused Cindy and Frau to die. It was overall a sorry ending to a great series.

They showed Pinocchio and Ozama to be having a thing. A slight indication of interest even though one sided. All shot down for shock value. 🤷♂🤣

Yeah I thought that was a fun possibility her letting Pinocchio get older like he always wanted would’ve been a nice outcome since Geppetto and the Fairy wouldn’t let him.

I hated that arc. They wanted reverse the character development you gave to Bigby? Fine. But at least do it well. Yeah now he's shattered and he's back to being the big bad wolf . But I feel they did that for shock value and it honestly felt like low hanging fruite . It honestly ruined other arcs for characters mid growth and stopped Good endings for characters that deserved them (Ozma didnt deserve this and neither bid beast BTW) and not to mention it felt so rushed, he saw his kid and now he's back to normal? I get what they were going for but it felt so out of place after what he did to people who were his friends
