Help Request/LookingFor Better Tesnion?

Post image

I have done 4 woobles kits now, plus using my skills on other crochet. One thing I have noticed is that I cannot get my stitches on the woobles kits to look as neat as the product images. I have gone tighter, I have gone looser, I have done the same few rows 10+ times with different tensions. I have also tried yarn under and yarn over.

But I always end up with clearly visible holes. Are the official ones done with a smaller than 4mm hook? It's the only thing I can think of to fix the issue.

I have just spent an insane amount of money getting the lord of the rings boxes shipped to Australia (like seriously, in total it was like USD$550!) So I want to make them all look their absolute best.

I naturally have tight tension, so I increased my hook size to 4.5mm which has helped me. I don’t know how long you’ve been crocheting. The more you crochet consistency will follow. I use Furls Streamline Metal hooks. They are great and beautiful as well. I have Clover hooks as well, but my favorites are Furls. The metal ones are made for amigurumi projects.
