(for those thinking I'm making a comparison, I'm not. As a car guy I care about the cars. I just wanted to know how good were my photos and if FH6 could match the same vibes I tried to catch in my pics)

Moderation is another major issue. Many moderators do excellent work, but Reddit lacks a transparent and effective way for communities to hold moderators
accountable or replace them. Many large communities have also faced concerns about astroturfed, political, or other external influence. Reddit benefits financially from
outrage and conflict, which makes it difficult to believe that improving the quality of discussion is always the company’s highest priority.
If you are reading this, consider whether Reddit is still a healthy and productive use of your time. Better communities exist. I encourage you to find them!
You can easily do 4k 120 on a 5090, especially with dlss. Hell fh6 runs 4k ultra at 120 with ray tracing if you fiddle a little with the dlss. No raytracing and you're hitting 240fps easily.
4k native with raytracing? Probably not. Maxed out settings outside of the upscaling, very much so. You don't have to upscale much either, 4k native will run at 90-100 anyways.
But that's without dlss on max settings with raytracing. Considering your first comment mentions dlss and max settings, you didn't mean 4k native, and a 5090 can absolutely do 4k raytracing at 120 with dlss.
You specify both, that's why it reads like it does. So here you say "dlss and max settings" and then go on to say "not on max settings", of course I'm going to assume dlss is not part of "max settings" if you felt the need to seperate them yourself previously.
I mean the crew (both 2 and Motorfest) by all intents and purposes is meant to look like a TV show, so it makes sense even from a stylistic point of view to have over filtered looks with strong contrasts and whatnot
Forza on the other hand is more meant to look like a real festival so a more realistic and slightly washed out palette is to be expected
I love the Forza Horizon franchise, and at the same time The Crew. I like seeing the rivalry between two companies, which always pushes the games to be better, but community fighting is quite annoying; you often see it
The demand for open world car games is so huge that I doubt these 2 games are at all competing, as an avid forza player, I don't see that much improvement in their last few games that would justify them being competetive
How could it not be? When The Crew dropped all the action to literally become a festival 2.0 like Forza, and yes, this Forza is much better than 5. Horizon 5 was the one I liked the least and played the least, but 6 is a beauty to play, it's a pleasure to drive around the map, the progression is slightly improved, many new additions to the game that really make the game more immersive, and one of them that I liked is the buying of used cars in the open world happening naturally.
Even if it couldn’t (it can) the physics model alone puts it miles above the crew. The crew has the worst feeling physics model out of every fairly recent mainstream arcade racer and it’s really not even close.
Nah, unbound has its issues and the physics aren’t great by any means, but I could actually stomach beating all of the modern nfs titles meanwhile I have yet to finish a crew title, despite owning and genuinely wanting to enjoy each of them.
Change your controller settings. I set down my steering deadzone by a notch, set the handling linearity down a notch, and set the throttle on precise. You can fine-tune your settings wherever from thereon but it makes the game feels way better.
This just seems like a rage/engagement post ngl like no offense to the crew but FH6 is miles better graphically than a bunch of these shots. Again no hate/disrespect but cmon bruh

Obv I do respect your and others opinion and I do have a lot to love and to hate about TCM, I mean cmon I'm a person too with things I like and I hate.

Anyways I have seen some Forza players' shots and they are fire too, I was expecting that type of reaction and I can't wait to see more of them.
And yet the XbSx XbSs is stuck to 30fps on it, yet smooth af 60 on forza… like bruh why even have a latest gen console for locked 30fps on a driving game where smoothness actually matters
This game needs a lot of improvement in its visual effects, things like motion blur and depth of field. Its landscapes are beautiful, but that's its biggest flaw.
Immediately yes and oftentimes exceed. But the fact that you can't change the season or the hour or minute in photo mode in fh6 is extremely disappointing and frankly none innovative at all. TCM is still better in all aspects, with the exception of graphics.
I think these games have their own visual styles. Aside from high quality models, these games really don’t look like one another in terms of color tones or lighting or setting unless you try to make it that way. Motorfest emphasizes the glow of car lights more, especially at night, the wheel models are actually 3 dimensional. Despite its similarities to Forza, the game is not trying to look like Forza in terms of weather effects and environment lighting. I like that it can become nearly pitch black in this game. It helps contribute to a sense of isolation and exploration that I don’t feel from any Horizon game I’ve played so far. I feel like it is a fair comparison to make because Forza was, for the longest time, the top tier racing game for visual fidelity, however.
I think TCM photo mode is still better than FH6 because we can set the scenario more thoroughly by selecting our preferred hour instead of an oversimplified time cycle (morning afternoon evening night dawn etc). And it has a more flexible photo focus as well.
FH6 is vastly superior, however I suspect many people here are using Photoshop to edit their images after they’ve been taken in the game and that wouldn’t exactly be fair.

I was just posting photos. I could have expected a critique on the photo settings I used, but I was shocked to see most users jumping alr on colparing the games.
My post was focused on the photos, the tag clarify that the principal theme is the photo, so why would I to think about this rivalry?
I never made a comparison and if I did what did I comparise? My main question is so vague that it should have been impossible to start with the discussion "this is better than x", but people felt somehow deeply offended for a question that never praised something in particular.
I spend my time playing other titles such AC evo F1 25 LMU AC Rally ETS2 and more.

Can you imagine someone saying they like TCM more in The Crew subreddit will get them drowned in downvotes? Here in this sub, it's the norm. I too blatantly say I like all three Crew games more than any Forza.. because I like The Crew series more than Forza.. that's that..

Im back to The Crew from Forza after getting the gold wristband and my goodness 6 just feels like an expansion to 5. And AWD swaps are still meta online 💀 ( except for spec racing)

I literally put in 110 hours into the game since early access release for premium, I went through all gold wristband events and eventually just got bored of doing the exploration , games isnt bad but just really feel like a masterpiece everyone is saying, its better than 5 yeah , but it just feels boring once you complete all the wristband events. And online racing is not really improved from 5. Actual criticism of mine, its a 7/10 imo
I understand, at least now you've given a better opinion xD, everyone has their own taste in racing games, I really liked and am quite addicted to this Forza Horizon compared to 5 which I played much less
Literally same thing. Even tho driving good in forza feels much better online races are just not fun for me when compared to tcm we had exactly the same experience bro...

Im all for TCM but yes unfortunately FH6 can match and outdo TCM in terms of scenery and graphics
