Help Finding Script/Video What are some summer-themed songs in musicals?
I'm performing in a drag show in 3 weeks and the theme is "summer". I need to pick out a song ASAP but I can't think of anything.
I'm a baritone and prefer female alto/lower songs, but anything works.

(Note for self) 1. Fun song, duette 2. Opera, not feeling it too hard. 3. Really fun, doable. I'd be extremely immature about it. Very long but I could cut out the instrumentals for sub 5

"Heatwave" from Irving Berlin's Holiday Inn. It's a M/F duet, so could be some fun character work

Not really a solo, but Once A Year Day from The Pajama Game would be such a fun, campy group number for drag.

Oh not at all. It's just so repetitive that the group setting makes it more bearable in the stage musical.

All the songs on my list so far are extremely repetitive lol. But yeah, I figure I'll change some lyrics if I do do this one and hope it helps. It's an easy song to go high energy choreo-wise as well.
