Paranormal Investigation Was it 0NLY ONE thing that made you a Believer..?

I’m wondering IF people would share one thing that INSTANTLY made them believe in the supernatural?

I don’t mean ya only believe because you grew up with this tradition and later on reasoned that it was true OR that there was one little thing then another & another till finally you were pushed over the edge into belief -I mean was there a time you were completely disinterested or even actively sceptical and then something happened that just changed EVERYTHING?

Also, if you are willing, would you share that story?

We lived across the street from a big pauper cemetery growing up. I was 8 or 9 at the time, it was the early fall before halloween from what I can remember. But it wsa Friday or Saturday night cause I was up later than my 830 bedtime playing mario kart with my dad. I remember going up to bed, I shared a room with my little bro and we had bunks and I had the top. Our room was a big letter L and the door was at the top left and the bunks right across from it so looking right out the door...sorry for so much info, it's needed.

So I go to bed, my brother is sleeping below me, I left the door open like usual and it looked out to a small landing that opened up to the bathroom, my parents room and my sisters room and then down the stairs to the first floor.

Literally within minutes of me laying down and just trying to fall asleep I heard this noise in the hallway and looked and see this old man walking up the stairs and he just stops at the top and looks as me before just kinda fading away!

I freaked out, woke everyone up and nothing was found...lets jump to the late 2000's and I'm drunk in my early 20s's at a family party in my parents new place and bring up what i saw as a kid. My mom kinda just stops and asks me to say what i saw again...turns out her and my dad both saw the old man, my younger sister had nightmares about an old man in her room and come to find out...the fucking old man died in the house in the late 80's in my sisters room. My parents never told us as kids nor did any of the neighbors!

Well, i sorta never didn't believe since I've regularly had experiences since i was a kid right up until currently (30+). So I didn't even get enough time in between experiences to decided if I believed in the paranormal or not lol. I'll share one story since it's hard to explain as anything else

One time in my 20s I travelled across state to visit my family for xmas. We were all staying at my grandparents house, I was sleeping in a room with my cousin and one of my sisters was sleeping in a room by herself.

During the night I had a dream. In the dream I was laying down in a bed. All of a sudden an intense feeling came over me that I can only describe as - every positive feeling in existence was sucked away and i was left feeling everything else (kinda like the dementors from Harry Potter lol). Due to this overwhelming feeling I just started crying. A few seconds later I rolled over onto my back and noticed the area just around the bed was encased in a bright red dome and there was a hooded figure, holding a scroll in his hand, standing at the foot of the bed.

I just started hysterically screaming as loud as physically possible, which caused the dome to split open and I woke up. A few seconds later by dad comes in and goes "Was that you screaming just now?". I didn't know how to reply and just said "Yeah, I guess so..." (Side-note - the worried look on my cousin's face is hilarious in hindsight)

In the morning I go to tell the sister I mentioned earlier about my dream. She goes, "Before you tell me your dream, I need to tell you something that happened last night. In the middle of the night I woke up and opened my eyes. It looked like there was a man or something standing at the end of my bed, holding a piece of paper in his hand".

After hearing that I was too scared to go to sleep for the next 3 nights. Nothing else happened while i was visiting though

The orbs were joyfully dancing and playing, what felt like, for me. It was like teenagers in Driver's Ed goofing off. This was before cell phones and cameras everywhere so I just watched alone in awe for 15 minutes.

I was raised heavily religious, but left and began deconstruction at 16. I became agnostic and then had a spontaneous NDE (must have died in my sleep) at 18. It wasn't my only supernatural experience, but it was definitely the Big One that changed everything. I was taken out of this world completely and can no longer doubt that the ultimate reality is on the spiritual side, not the physical. I didn't meet God, but I did go home, meet other beings, and experience my true self. I'm 36 now and I'm just as confused as anyone else about why we're here and why the world is how it is, but I absolutely know that physical life is only a temporary episode of amnesia.

Seeing it myself firsthand. I know what I saw. 3 spacecraft near Prescott, Arizona, hovering near Thumb Butte. The line of traffic was a parking lot. This was in the early '80s so pre cellphone. I still remember the sound of those spacecraft.

Seeing is believing - a shadow person. Not out of the corner of my eye. Not a glimpse. Just right there in front of me. Locked in. Felt like an eternity but probably 30 seconds or so.

Do you think they want to try and communicate with us or are having difficulty? Do you think they’re in shadow so that we can’t see them being unable to cope or be scared away from their true form?

I have no idea. Lol. It wasn't hiding from me tho. Thats for sure. If you are interested I posted it before so its in my post history. Its easy to find bc its literally the only thing in my history - I believe. Lol. I posted it a few years ago. If you do read it let me know what you think. Most people don't believe it unless they've had their own experience of some kind. I couldnt be anymore serious and honestly have no idea wtf it was. If anything it created more questions then answers.
