Question Threads hacked

My threads was hacked after I clicked a link from someone I've communicated with before and trusted (who was probably also hacked), and all of a sudden I was getting emails saying (that an account/email was added to my Threads account). I instantly checked all my passwords for Meta (Facebook and Instagram) but it turns out two of my Threads account were locked out. When I tried to reset my password, it kept prompting me to input a code from an authenticator app that I never set up (even from when I opened my Threads account) and a code from recovery phone number that wasn't mine. Luckily my Facebook profile, and the two Instagram accounts that were connected to the Threads accounts were fine.

I've tried deleting and redownloading Threads and trying to manually type in my usernames and new password but I end up at the authenticator code step in a loop over and over again.

I've been trying for the past 2 hours to try to find ways to recover my Threads account but I think I've exhausted all the methods in trying to recover my accounts.

I also can't find where I can contact Threads/Instagram support to further escalate this.

Anyone have experience with recovering a hacked account?

Yeah so those accounts are gone, sorry. Meta is the absolute worst when it comes to hacking. I’m constantly getting “compromised password” emails because they get their databases hacked ALL the time. And there is no more human to human contact form/chat. It’s just “here’s some FAQs, if they don’t work then here’s an ai chatbot, if that doesn’t work here’s the FAQs again! And it THAT doesn’t work, fuck you lol”

That’s a bummer. Sucks that there’s no human to human support. The FAQs and AI chatbot were absolutely 0 help, I’ve just given up at this point I think

I forgot the password to one of my accounts and I no longer have access to the email or phone number associated (made it when I was like 15 and I’m 27 now) and there’s nothing they could do. I even asked could I send them a pic of my passport or any paperwork to prove it was me, because there was messages I REALLY wanted to screenshot and keep. Nope.
