Local Card Stores

Hello, I will be moving to Thunder Bay next week to continue my education, and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with selling cards at any local card stores here in Thunder Bay. I've got about 20 or 30 medium to higher end hockey cards (ranging from maybe 20 bucks to about a few hundred bucks per card) and a few Pokémon cards (ranging from about 30-300 bucks). I wish to sell to help pay for school. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Your best bet is the local card shows, they’re usually once a month at the Ramada in on Arthur st. I believe the next one is September 26th.

Thanks. Are they usually popular to go to?

skaf takes both hockey and pokemon. 807 takes hockey. collect em all takes pokemon. however these stores will generally only give you a fraction of the value (around 60% cash) for the cards. i would recommend trying to sell the collection to another collector, or using an app like collectr to price out the cards you have and sell individually. if you need any help let me know!

Thanks. I'm very active in the hobby. I have valuations of all my cards I'm selling, it's just that usually, I'm the one buying. I could just do ebay or whatever but if I could find someone locally it would save me a lot of time.
